I'll try to take some pics of famous London land marks and put them in this thread as time goes by.

Thanks Paul. Trying to make good use of those ££££s spent on camera gear with those charges for DAC modifications .

I particularly like the Marble Arch picture, the way in which you have captured the combination of the lights and rain, it really works.

I particularly like the Marble Arch picture, the way in which you have captured the combination of the lights and rain, it really works. Decades ago, in the days of 35mm film, I had a 55m f1.2 lens. I took loads of pics in the rain of the arch then, but none of them came out satisfactory. Last night I couldn't find anything useful to watch on the box, and it was raining outside, so I was suffering from boredom. In a moment of madness I then decided to travel in the rain and go and reshoot the scene from all those years ago.

Wonder if the reflections gave that photo the extra magic .....

I worked in the City of London for over 20 years. Much of that time was spent within shouting distance of the Tower of London and St Kits. I don't believe I've got one photo of anything vaguely interesting to "commemorate" those 20+ years. How stupid that seems now when I look at your photographs and remember what I've seen. and the opportunities missed. Keep up the great work.
