Not sure what caused this deal on eBay but I just grabbed a new Lenovo Tab 4 10" Android tablet for £28 less Nectar points so just £18. It lists for £179.99 elsewhere. Be quick, there may be a few left! Gone You have various pads and tablets. What will this one do for you the others struggle with ?

Longer battery life, faster for just Spotify and browsing, which is all I need in the music room. I'll be well chuffed if the thing actually turns up and isn't a scam.

Be quick, there may be a few left! ...and it was too good to be true. Got an e-mail from eBay saying that the goods were posted on a hacked account. In their usual wonderfully helpful way, I have to contact the 'seller' and wait 8 days before I can claim my money back. Wait, didn't they e-mail me about the issue? Couldn't they just initiate a refund process immediately? Oh no, wait, this is eBay.

Bummer! The only roughly comparable thing that happened to me is when I apparently bought a leatherworking awl from someone in America. eBay was straight on it, in fact, they informed me about it before I'd had a chance to notice. They also refunded me straight away.

I now have the refund, so all is well.
It spurred me to investigate Android for x86 tablets and I installed it onto one of my Dell Venue 11 tablets. It worked so well that I'm using it to control Spotify and type this now.

It's that time of year, again. Amazon are selling the latest version (v3) of their basic Echo Dot for £22.00 instead of £49.99, and in the full range of colours. The Echo Show 5 (5" screen) is £30.00 off at £49.99 and makes what is probably the best (and most expensive) bedside alarm clock I've ever owned. The Echo Show 8 (it has an 8" screen. Duh.) is £59.99, down from £119.99. The Fire TV Stick with the Alexa Voice Remote (2nd Gen) is £19.99 instead of £39.99, or £29.99 for the 4K version instead of £49.99. This is new, and fairly cool, the Echo Flex. It's basically a plug-in Echo. I imagine that the speaker is pretty crappy, but if you just want to control your gizmos and ask "Alexa" the odd question it looks like a good solution if you've got a spare 240v socket but no spare worktop/shelf space. I am in now way connected to Amazon, I just love gadgets and gizmos. Automate your home. It's fun.

If Now TV were selling their Smart Sticks cheap, I'd be interested.
...or a Roku Streaming Stick, which looks possibly a better option.

Well I usually hate all this Americanized bullshit selling cobblers, however this year I have managed to acquire a rather nice advantageous package on a new piece of test hardware today, not very often one has that inner satisfaction of happiness. Now just need a stiff brandy to recover from shock

Yes, but...
I'm paying through the nose for Sky Q so I can assure you my costs for content will come way down. Our main LG TV has apps for everything so I'm just after two sticks for the kitchen and bedroom TVs. The Roku is £29.98 and looks on spec to be a better device than the Now TV one. Any Black Friday deals on them would be welcome.

Paperwork has just arrived for new business purchase, its when you look at it in the cold light of day its quite sobering, the 'pre black Friday' special arrangement runs just into five figures from the bottom, never let it be said audio has a mark up like this stuff

I was going to get my late wife a dash-cam, but we figured it would probably end up costing us more than it would save us.

I bought the Roku since it does Netflix, Now TV and all the catch-ups at full HD.
