The beauty of our hobby/obsession, is that everything is system-dependant and what works well for one person, in their system and room, might not have the same appeal to another listener.
That's why you can't go wrong with a 30 day, money back guarantee!
Try it and see if it works for you and if it doesn't you have the experience and all it costs is the return postage.
I too, use and like Black Ravioli Big Pads, which I have under my Coherent RTZ 3 grounding box, Coherent "The END" earth noise dissipation unit, Mutec Ref 10 SE-120 clock, both network LPSU's (Coherent QP2 and Plixir BDC Elite) and TW Acustics Raven motor control unit.
However, they are not adjustable for height!
Does anyone know the maximum load-bearing of a BR Big Pad and can the new BR Big Pad Plus support more weight than the standard BR Big Pad?

Does anyone know the maximum load-bearing of a BR Big Pad and can the new BR Big Pad Plus support more weight than the standard BR Big Pad? If only we knew the answers to these questions. I know they can take a fair amount of load, but the complete lack of specifications on the BR website and zero instructions included with them goes too far in the direction of "keep them guessing" for my liking. Perhaps The Brookmeister or HD Music & Test could furnish us with some specs?

What solder should I buy for making up cables? 5% silver solder is good for hi-fi use, but you will need a slightly hotter soldering iron (if it's temperature controlled). WBT was always my go-to solder.

The new Big pad plus can handle a TAD 700s currently and M2500 and my personal grounding block which tips the scales at just over 85Kg no issues no far. I have to say, not much really impresses me these days, not even seven figure speakers and I recently listened to a pair of them lol
The BR BBP is something that is in the real world a very positive step forward right across the frequency spectrum and give the cost of equipment and accessories these days the (I really hate this term!) bang for buck is quite something.
Its quite refreshing that a quality upgrade doesn't stretch the wallet imho

WBT was always my go-to solder. I would agree 100% I go through around half a dozen 500g reels a year, excellent wetting and skin formation that facilitates a great finished joint (lol)
In stores there are around 5 brands and types of solder we use, I do have a really fancy one but thats just for personal projects, WBT is quality stuff.

I've just bought a FIIO PL50 LPS for £50.
Didn't really need it, but my wife has complained a few times now about the Teradak DC-30 LPS running hot. So will replace it with the FIIO. It's only for the modem, so not needing anything too fancy.
Black replacing silver (thanks for the thumbs up Mike).

Always looking at improvements possible.
Had read about Puritan PSM156 upgrades. Replacing the IEC and power sockets. First saw it with Hifiplus.com
Watched Mike's Youtube post
Consequently have ordered a Furutech FI-33 NCF IEC inlet.

Interesting. I am in the process of getting everything together to convert the outlets of my Lab12 Gordion conditioners to Schuko outlet using Furutech outlet and plugs on the associated leads.

Would like to help out a friend with good ideas for decoupling standmount speakers from wooden top plates of metal stands. Any suggestions that aren't uber spendy? Up to a couple of hundred all in I guess ... Cheers.

Make sure to treat all the cables and connections with something like Mad Scientist Audio Graphene contact enhancer while doing it too.
