Still got my D70 on the default number 3 - will have a play with the others sometime. It's worth doing, Jules. The filters may not make a world of difference but they can make enough of a change to be noticed, and may improve what is already a good sound.

I guess the AKM modes don't map directly to the ESS modes, but it sounds like we've selected similar filters all on our own 😀
By the way, my LKS 'manual' comprised several sheets of specs.

The more I investigate my Weiliang DAC the more similarities I seem to uncover between it and the Topping D70.

It's amazing what does get ripped off ...
There is even an exact Chinese copy of the Michell Record Clamp available on eBay!!

I'll recycle this thread title to say that (in theory, anyway) I've reached journey's end with my AudioQuest addiction. I've just bought a 0.75m AudioQuest Cinnamon Lightning to USB A cable to connect my iPad Mini to the PC to control my guitar amp. I set myself a ridiculously low limit and got it for considerably less: £12.50 + £3.48 p&P instead of £59.00+ at Futureshop etc.
Unless I see some higher quality versions of the cables I've already got (i.e. further up the range) I now don't "need" any more AQ cables.

There's still a whole gamut of equipment out there to whet your appetite when the time comes.

Well, that lasted a long time. I've just picked up a 1m AQ Carbon HDMI lead for forty quid. It'll replace one of the Cinnamons.

It just doesn’t ever stop, does it?! Apparently not. £40.00 instead of £165.00 is difficult to pass up.

Are all these ebay purchases Paul? You certainly find the good deals.

Yes, all eBay, Jules. I usually keep a search window open at eBay for everything AQ all the time I have the computer on, and check it at random intervals. Also, let's just say that when searching for AQ there's more to it than just "Audio Cables And Adaptors", or even "Sound and Vision". That cable I grabbed last night probably hadn't been up for more than a few minutes, otherwise somebody else would have snagged it. One has to be dedicated.

It does help that more stuff than ever is on BIN rather than auction these days.

It does help that more stuff than ever is on BIN rather than auction these days. I think so too, Martin. Last night's was a dual offer, i.e. it was an auction, but also had a b.i.n. price. I bought it "now" .

What's your experience with the different NVA speaker cables Paul?
