Agitation Free -Shibuya Nights (2011)
I became obsessed with Agitation Free's second album (called 2nd) a short while ago. It's an album I bumped into & have played an awful lot since. The band were active for a short time in the early 1970s, releasing the first album, Malesch in '72 and 2nd in '73. They broke up the following year and there was no activity until a reformation of the final line-up released River of Return in 1999. All good albums, in my reckoning, but the album under scrutiny here is a live album, a document of their tour of 2007. The Wiki says:
Forget all the genre speak above, it's just a good guitar band playing together and improvising. I love the interplay between the two guitarists and the track Laila is just magnificent.

10 from me, been a fan since the late 70's.
In fact you've just reminded me that I have this LP so it will get a play today 😊

I stayed in Shibuya for a while when I worked for NEC. It's a fascinating place.

I liked some of the album, but not all of it.. Particularly like track 3.
I've chosen 3/5 to be fair.

This gives me the same continuous listening vibe as Space Ritual by Hawkwind.
Sehr gut, I think (or even 非常にいいです).

I kind feel a bit in the middle with this. Some good musicianship but not something I listen too often

I originally listened to this bunch because of my sister boyfriend at the time was good friend of one of the band members, possibly an influence on the Ozric's as well as Hillage?

I haven't listened to Ozric in a couple of weeks. Must fix that.

Brilliant, loved it. Never come across them before but defo on my rock playlist from now on. Kind of Dream Theater meets Future Sound of London but with a sound of their own. 5/5.

Glad you like it, Barry. I find it really interesting to hear what/who people think an album I know well sounds like. When I first heard the track 'First Communication', I thought immediately of The Grateful Dead.
