Noise causing jitter. Standard computing doesn't care about jitter but audio does at the point where it enters a DAC.
Just my opinion.

Tweaks applied, not sure it’s any better than the first lash up though but it does seem to do something that’s positive in my system. If I can find a way to box it up neatly I may make a second one for others to try, I’m really curious if it works across different network configurations.

I run my 4G router from a high quality linear PSU and do not need a separate switch. Interesting device(the LAN isolator), I wonder would it benefit a smart tv? Do you have a link to the linear supply you use for your router, I might look into one. Thanks

Finally got off my backside and packaged my isolator. It came out well if somewhat time consuming to assemble. Provides full galvanic isolation inc. shielding and 1GbE connectivity, fly lead is shielded. I'm waiting on another set of parts to make up a test mule / loaner if anybody is interested...

Great thanks John, I think it makes a small but worthwhile improvement. I commented on page 2...

*bump*
I just picked up one of these second hand. Not had a chance is play with it yet, but just wanted to check something: For those you that have bought one, did either the unit or the box come with a holographic sticker affixed? I've read that there were counterfeit units out there but that - in at least some territories - the genuine articles came with one of these stickers. Is anyone able to confirm if there's did or didn't?

I can't remember, Tom, but I bought mine from @tonyc so perhaps he could tell you?

I do not remember a sticker but it is a while back so might be mistaken

Thanks chaps! I reached out for more info from the seller and I'm now fairly confident that it's the genuine article.

If you take a picture of the box I can tell you if it genuine.

Hi Pinch This is latest model, it should be a light reddy colour and has the later triple C wiring inside.

Ah nice. The one I have is the earlier model - the black one featured at the top of the thread. I was initially a bit concerned because the box didn't have that holographic sticker. But the original owner bought it direct from Japan, and it seems those stickers are only found on boxes that have been distributed outside Japan.

Hi Tom
The earlier versions were black yes, also the holograms are for export purposes you are correct, no hologram outside Japan no warranty.

I found my box and it is exactly as photographed. It's a triple C type.

I'm thinking of buying one of these. Have my wifi router to wifi extender.
So considering an Acoustic Revive RLI-1 to Meicord Opal to streamer. Keen to eliminate the noise from wifi/extender.
(All going well, will put an EtherRegen between the extender and streamer at a later date?)
