Theres nowt in it to break mikemusic! You just plug it in and it sits there. Believe me if you could break it I would have by now. That why a vinyl setups a total no go for me. Far too delicate.

Do you get vibrations on an oil platform? Do you need to support your equipment in any special way?

Do you get vibrations on an oil platform? Do you need to support your equipment in any special way? Yes,yes we do. When drilling through a right chough(chook/tough/hard) bit the whole rig shakes and vibrates. There are huge compensators to deal with this. I personally wear good underpants to help support MY equipment!

If you have a DAC then why not connect the Airport Express to it? If the AA had line level outputs you'd have no problems, but Apple seem to have developed it to work with iTunes sending digits to it. Is it any wonder why they (Apple) have so many detractors? The Airport Express has line out AND (best of all) an optical out which should be used with a DAC that gas Toslink IN. When the AA is sending a digital signal, the the mini jack port lights up. Just connect a Toslink (optical) cable with a mini jack optical adapter to the AA and lead the other end into the DAC Toslink port. Then you'll need an i-device or PC/MAc with iTunes. Look for the Airplay icon and choose the AA to stream to. The AA has to be on your network.
