Prog about Senna on Itv4 7th Nov at 23:15. It's in the movie category but is down as sports documentary. From 2010. Don't think I've seen it, but I might have.. Thanks for recommending this, Steve, it was very good.

And seeing as we're in Brazil this weekend - A nice short summary of Senna's long sought home win in '91
He was physically done in after the race, had to be helped out of the car BUT, he'd finally acheived it after enduring no power in '84 electronic problem in '85 engine failure in '87 another engine failure in '88 collided with Berger in '89 colliding with Nakajima in '90 Despite no power steering and being stuck in 6th gear in '91, luckily he didn't retire and at long last achieved that elusive win !

Hamilton on pole, Mercedes' 100th. Some question of Hamilton impeding Sirotkin although the latter was on an outlap?!
More serious is Vettel damaging the scales in another fit of pique.

Yep, some F1 fans not happy that Hamilton wasnt penalized and 'upset' at what they see as FIA inconsistency. I actually like Vettel but he's not naturally good at keeping his cool when under pressure. It's a shame really as he usually ends up shooting himself in the foot one way or the other.

Incredible race with just 5s between the top four at the finish. The winner was not predictable until the very end.
Hamilton broke his stigma of never winning after gaining a world championship. Mercedes win the constructor's title for five years running.
Verstappen and Ricciardo both had terrific races.

Happy Birthday, Robbie.
Lucky win for Lewis. Good race for Red Bull although I think that Verstappen has acted like a spoilt brat since getting out of the car.

Yep. Hamilton tried to tell him he should have let Ocon pass, but Verstappen just cannot see the bigger picture yet.

I suppose he’s never fought for an F1 Championship, so maybe when he gets a chance he’ll modify some of his behaviours.

According to the Dutch news Verstappen is getting a penalty due his confrontation with Ocon.
There's a nice gif of him pushing Ocon but I can get it upload here with Tapatalk.

Verstappen has been given two days' public service as punishment, I believe.
It seems that Hamilton's engine was in imminent danger of failure halfway through the race and they turned everything down to get it home. That's why he appeared to have no answer to Verstappen.

Hey Martin and Paul, thanks for the birthday wishes, much appreciated Had a great day with wife and daughters. Eldest daughter came down from Uni in Nottingham for my birthday so we all had a nice meal and drinks up in Victoria, so we were able to walk her over to the station after to catch her coach back. Son sent a lovely message from Oz where he now lives with his wife - do miss him however, he's mad happy and blessed so I can't ask for more than that No tunes though, always seems to be the way with hifi My Cadenza Black has worn so it's been sent off to Kilian Bakker (used to work for Ortofon and comes very highly regarded / respected) He's going to give it a complete overhaul and fit a Fritz Gyger S stylus. That stylus profile is pretty much Ortofons top dog Replicant 100 profile so It's effectively an upgrade - I'm itching to have it back. I'll make every effort to feedback my findings here too. Yes indeed and as pointed out, Verstappen not seeing the bigger picture in regard to his incident with Ocon. Hamilton was 'educating' him, (that's if he's snart enough to listen to someone who knows) and told him that he had more to lose and that you always ensure there's enough space. He'll learn hopefully if he doesnt remain hard headed and overly impulsive. Great result for LH-44, who nursed his car home to victory in the backyard of his hero Senna, bet that felt sweet, not to mention nailing the constructors for his employer. All in all birthday / weekend has been 10 out of 10. Mind you tunes and Hifi joy would have made it 11 out of 10, ah well .....

Glad you had a good day, Robbie.
Max certainly respects Lewis, but in the moment he was just too annoyed with the world and particularly Ocon to have listened to anyone.
Watch how Lewis avoids contact at all costs, throughout the championship, but certainly closer to the time of clinching it, even to the point of backing away to avoid it. Think back to when he was trying to pass Max in the US, he was so, so careful, not putting one down the side or pushing either of them into a mistake. Then in Mexico, when he had his nose ahead at the start of the GP, and backed off to allow Max through and avoid contact.
All of that takes experience, skill and thinking of the bigger picture.

Another interesting Motorsport prog.
Driven: The Billy Monger story. Double amputee from a crash in 2017. I've been following him in F3. Amazing story. Happening right now.

Billy Monger was in the Merc garage, guest of Lewis. I enjoyed the documentary. He's so positive. Nice pole by Lewis. "A priveldge to race against these guys". Easy for the champ winner to say

Great pole by Hamilton, the comparison with Vettel's laptop on the Skypad was interesting. Vettel had it in the first sector and then Hamilton caught up and pulled clear in sectors 2 & 3.

That's the way to finish this season. Three teams represented on the podium with lots to look forward to next year.
