Does anyone know how to speak or online chat with a human being at Evri? All my efforts with the 'chat' or phone won't let me get past their digital automated answers no matter what I do. They claimed to try to deliver last night and posted a photo of a block down the road from me. Utterly hopeless buffoonery. Good luck with that. I've banged my head against that particular wall a few times. They completely divorce themselves from responsibility by shunting it back to the sender, and tell you that you need to contact whoever the sender is, and THEY will contact EVRI.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, Jules. sometimes it's just their system that messes up, and stuff gets delivered a bit late, but the tracking never gets updated. I speak from experience.

Good luck, Jules. Evri have fully acquired the DNA of their previous incarnation, Herpes.
Utterly shite service.

Muppets.
They left it outside the front door of our block, didn't even press the buzzer.
Now I know how bad it is as a recipient I won't send another parcel with Evri.

I bet Evri's induction training for new delivery personnel goes like this...
"There's the van, mate".

I think that Evri problems are actually down to the delivery drivers. I have had a Sri Lankan lady doing the delivery around my area for years. She will put small parcels in a special bin I have behind a wall. And she ticks off that the parcel was delivered afterwards, which I get as an email so that I know I have something to pick up from the bin.

We used to have a smashing "regular" lady delivery driver for Hermes too, Stan. Sadly, since they changed to EVRI, she no longer visits us, and the whole service has gone to shit. They've "lost" three of my parcels this year, and as Jules said, they're impossible to contact.

Fekkin EVRI has struck again. I received an email this morning telling me that " We've got your Packlink Shipping S.L parcel and we're delivering it today between 14:00 and 16:00." I checked my emails again, around 14:15 and found a second mail from EVRI, telling me " Local Courier has delivered your Packlink Shipping S.L parcel at 13:00" ...and there it was, sitting outside my front door when I looked, where I assumed that the courier had obviously done a quick " dump-and-run" without bothering to ring my doorbell. More hilarity ensued when, on looking at eBay, I was informed that this was a " Secure delivery Back door". I don't have a back door, I live in a block of maisonettes with an exterior security door, and my front door is off of the vestibule beyond that. But it gets better. I went to the EVRI website, and found this... ...and bloody easy to steal. What a bunch of cnuts.

We also have a regular dhl lady who has always been spot on Parcelfarce on the other hand are an absolute nightmare and i refuse point blank to use them. Every other parcelforce delivery i have something goes wrong with

Yes, leaving it in front of a door waiting to be half-inched seems to be the new Evri 'modus operandi'. Never again.
I've had problems in the past with DHL but today they were spot on with my rum supply delivery - tracking it told me exactly how many stops away they were and they delivered within the quoted timeframe. And unlike Evri, they rang the buzzer and handed the package to me in person.

DHL are a problem for me
They insist we answer the doorbell !
Perfectly happy with the multitude of parcels the boss has left in the porch
Good guys to a man and seemingly all East European

Today just gets better. Amazon say that they delivered at 15:00 and "Parcel was handed to resident."
Not to me it bloody wasn't.

And there's more. This is from Kent Online... (I've taken the unusual step of leaving in the comments, at the end). Investigation launched after huge sackfuls of Evri parcels found dumped in Beacon Road, ChathamDelivery firm Evri has apologised to customers after huge sackfuls of its parcels were dumped in the woods. The deliveries were found discarded at the end of Beacon Road in Luton, Chatham. A local resident made the discovery while out walking in a wooded area near Ash Tree Lane on Sunday. Evri – formerly known as Hermes – has issued an apology to affected customers and says it has since recovered the items. Reacting to images of the dumped parcels posted on social media, one disgruntled resident said: " This could be why my parcel didn't arrive." While another online shopper added: " I've been waiting for a parcel since November 25. Can't get through to anyone." The courier company recently opened a huge new distribution depot nearby in Aylesford, Maidstone. It has come under fire in recent weeks following several complaints raised by customers about unexplained delivery delays. Shoppers have also raised issues over Evri's tracking app and online help service. A spokeswoman from Evri, said: " We can confirm that we were alerted about a number of parcels that had been dumped at a local fly-tipping location. " Our local team visited immediately and recovered the items. We have contacted the police who are taking the necessary action and we have also launched a full investigation." We apologise for any inconvenience caused and would like to reassure the public that this is a rare incident and will not impact deliveries moving forward." She said everyone affected will be contacted and replacements or refunds organised. Medway Council was also notified and is encouraging anyone with information to come forward. Ian Gilmore, head of regulatory and environmental services at Medway Council, said: " The council investigates all fly-tipping incidents and will take all appropriate enforcement action. " Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact our Environmental Enforcement team by calling 01634 333333.” In a separate incident, a large number of items were also found dumped behind Medway Maritime Hospital. They were found opposite a block of flats on land off Longhill Avenue and a resident said the landowner had been notified. SOURCEAnd yes, that would be my " local" depot.

Today just gets better. Amazon say that they delivered at 15:00 and " Parcel was handed to resident." Not to me it bloody wasn't. We had an Amazon delivery with "parcel handed to occupier" when they had left it leaning against the door. Not as bad as the one thrown over our gates, nearly getting run over as I drove in.

I think it's now best to check with any eBay seller which courier they are using if not stated - nobody needs deal with these clowns.

And thank you, not, to DPD who just buzzed me to tell me there is a delivery for me, only to leave it at the bottom of the communal stairs ... Lovely.
