Martin - Well I don't, so you had better increase me to 75%  as long as it is the same colour as I like that. If I was in my last few breath I would much prefer to hear a joke or someone taking the piss out of my predicament. Lets face life itself is bit of a cosmic joke  When you have been given a few months to live and stuck two finger up to the grim reaper it gives you a rather different view on love, life, and the pursuit of happiness (unhappiness). |

It's advantageous to be in possession of the full facts before speculating I find. I'd be happy to discuss and debate anything regarding the UFO phenomenon with you Richard, you may find my POV on the subject rather interesting and not quite what you expect. Assumptions make an 'ass' of you and me matey. You hide under the guise of humour your predilection for insulting people, you are a master at it. The only reason you are here is as an experiment to see how far you can push the boundaries before you get yourself banned, after which you will add it to the rest of your collection as yet another 'badge of honour' to boast about in your 'circus tent'. Respect is a notion totally alien to you. If you were genuine in your love of music and hifi that is what you would be writing about on other forums, however it is odd that you always end up discussing 'personalities'. AND a serious fact to peruse. I only insult (mostly through piss take) people who insult me or my company first, and I have a long memory. In your case it was an unwarranted libelous attack on NVA at AoS, before that I hadn't a clue who you were or had any contact with you.
Anyway that is baggage as they love to say here, but in reality my comments in this case were not piss take but genuine attempts at humour, never run from adversity always have laugh with it, and if you can't laugh with it then laugh at it is my moto.

Regarding your first paragraph, I note that you left out the part about me taking time out to acquire your phone number so I could call you to apologise for my disgraceful behaviour. I also note that you left out another part where you ranted and raved at me down the phone for nearly five minutes as a result of my attempt to put things right. He's a lovely chap...

I always look at wiki when someone famous dies to see what they died from, mostly it seems it is cancer with heart attack and stroke a poor second. People are scared to discuss end of life things, I have never really understood that apart from as a result of fear. |

Dave aren't forums wonderful. If I had a medical emergency my first reaction would be to seek proper medical advice rather than post here so it is hardly surprising that your post may have not been greeted with the serious response it deserved. Anyhow from above I trust you are still with us. As far as Doc's poor sense of humour regarding UFOs why not start a thread on the subject so we know your position and can discuss.
I think the policy of this forum is to avoid banning people and in any case Richard usually gets into trouble reacting to certain people who deliberately set out to irritate him. Perhaps they are candidates for a ban as well including that person who deliberately posts in large print. You can add to that the people who join to deliberately Spam products they are selling. The idea here I presume is to get away from the behaviour recently witnessed on AOS which pissed so many people of including yourself. A situation that IMO the forum owner mishandled. Talking about personalities it is obvious that the ethos of this forum is to get away from overriding dominant personalities that taint the nature of postings.

I think the guys meant no offence and it was just a bit of misdirected black humour. Anyhow Dave NHS Direct is no more and I would advise NHS 111 it's successor if you can't contact a doctor. It depends on what drugs you are taking if they will cause immediate harm but I doubt it. Get one of those pill boxes were the dose is numbered to avoid future mistakes. Used them myself a few weeks back when I woke up with a dead arm - contrary to the publicity they are actually very helpful. BTW dial 111 instead of 999 or the later if you have a serious reaction. Or Dave gets prescribed suppositories - it's a bit harder to forget you have taken them then  ! |

Five minutes, don't be silly. It was about 10 seconds and then I put the phone down. You really should leave people alone for a couple of days to relax after a libel like that, and then you would have got a more relaxed reaction. You do realise how libelous that was and if I had wanted to and took it seriously I could have gone for you in the courts. Anyway this is boring everyone and is as they say "baggage" so if you wish to discuss it phone me again or email me. |

Actually John I think it is good that it came out like this, I think it has cleared the air somewhat. I like a good piss take too but sometimes it is a little more difficult to get to grips with it when the situation is so personal and potentially so dangerous. It can't have been pleasant for other members though so for that reason I apologise profusely for my outburst.
