Never! Every Naim system I have ever heard has been horrible. Including MikeMusic before he saw the light!

I would like the silver version of my Kimber PSB interconnects but cannot justify the outlay Think the KCAGs I have to sell are silver. DIN-DIN or RCA to DIN only though

IME Naim systems and separates benefit more from good mains cable than any other kit I've come across. With some kit, the mains lead seems to make little or no difference, but with other stuff it's plan as day. Myst Tma3 always sounded much better with a decent mains cable too. It still sticks with me today as one of the fussiest amps I've ever come across. Interconnects, speaker cables and mains cables were all very variable with it.
Having played about with far too much kit, I can readily see why people have differing opinions, that's before you throw in varriabkes such as mains supply, mains wiring and individual, lug holes.
For me there is only one truth and that's the individual listener's experience. It doesn't have to be the same as mine or anyone else's as long as they follow their own ears and minds.

My Naim system certainly benefited from mains cables.
Moving to this house a few years ago the system sounded awful. Change to a bank of unswitched sockets and making the earth legal made a massive improvement. Then I moved onto mains cables and improved every time.

I bought Naim amps in the mid 80's before all the specialist cable from various companies flooded the market. I thought my '32'/'SNAPS'/'160' was a wonderful thing [ should have kept it] but i was excited by all the British stuff that was available back then, swapping & changing on a regular basis, having too much surplus money & always had my head in the latest Hi-Fi Answer mag.. But never ever did i dream of messing about with cables. I always had a fixed set of good quality Interconnects i could swap & change around the gear i bought. The only interconnect lead i would buy then was Chord Company. I do not ever recall such a thing as Silver cable back then & certainly never remember specialist Mains leads in the mags i bought. Why is it then that every time i buy something new it always ends up being sold & i revert back to old equipment!

I too bought my first Linn/Naim system in the mid 80s. Started with cables about mid 2000s being led astray by some bloke called Martin something or other. Inbetween I discovered unswitched sockets, a dedicated circuit for the hifi and Mana supports.
Usually buy 2nd hand but still surprised when I find something better and that then ought to be sold Never gone back to old kit,the upgrades stick or get upgraded further
