My pseudo stepdaughter has suffered similarly in every university digs she has yet lived in. Every year there's one weirdo who won't follow the rules (making noise, leaving the kitchen in a state, keeping pets, being evil, shagging day and night) and makes it a misery for everyone else there.
Don't let them off so lightly, Robert. It is their fault, even if society takes some of the hit.

I havent worked at a workplace where one guy (regular employee not affiliated with management) doesn't go around trying to get people in trouble. Tattletailing uncontrollably.
It's clear to me now that this is always the one that is the most prone to mistakes and things just falling out of the sky on him, regardless of his skill level at the job.
Accidents happen around this person because of a lack of situational awareness, that they arent even aware of.
One method for them to combat that mysterious problem is to throw everyone else around them under the bus in an attempt to bring the whole room down to their level potentially masking the ineptitude that they exhibit, though they don't know why, so a subconscious effort to lower the room ensues.

But I've lived in Argentina for months with the locals and interacted constantly in fluent Slanish and had a gf and knew her whole family and in the first year did live in a rooming house and never saw this. I'm under the impression that the culture there and maybe in other places acts like a glue that binds people's minds together in a way that produces just a smoother interaction amongst individuals. I dint see how it could ever be that way in such a melting pot in a "money above all else" society where almost everyone's basic needs are met, people live away from family to be better positioned to compete in the workforce, and everyone is just in each other's way in the rat race.

Holy crap, apologies Paul. I've made a legendary F up of trying to edit a post that contained a quote and ended up deleting posts and combining multiple users comments into one quote. As well as deleting the post that contained my original gripe by mistake. Legendary. Or as the Brits say, Legendree.

One of the oldest phrases in the book to indicate disdain must be " There's always one," which is sometimes expanded to " There's always f*cking one," and the ultimate variation on the expression " There's always some **** who ruins it for everyone else." It does seem to be true though, because there does always seem to be " one" in any group large enough to support one. Problems come when there are 49% of them Even worse when there are 51% of them outvoting 'us' Cue Brexit and so much more

People who go on forums to ask for help them totally ignore any replies People who reply to requests for help on forums but complettely ignore the poster's requirements. e.g. Q. I'm looking for X piece of kit, my budget is £Y A. For another £250.00 you could get something by another manufacturer which I haven't heard but is wonderfully reviewed. They always remind me of Harry Enfield

People who go on forums to ask for help them totally ignore any replies I couldn't agree more, it happens far too often. Common courtesy obviously a bit too much trouble for some.

Maybe someone can set me straight here but it actually bothers me, for just a moment, when purchasing a bottled water or Soda and the cashier grabs it by the area around the bottle cap. Grimey fingers fresh off of their phone and keyboard.
I wouldn't be caught dead handling anyone's drink by the top.
I do feel ashamed to by bothered by this when truthfully I know that every square millimeter around us is covered in humanity. But this one is just annoying as hell while on my period I suppose.

I'm with you. All I can suggest is find somewhere with a better idea of public hygiene.

Of course there is a simple solution to this - avoid buying sodas whilst on your period!

Lol and thanks for input fellows. And stop me if you've heard this one but how about a taxi cab beeping 5 times for a neighbor next door at 4am?
Unnecessary? Around here I normally see them beep once, if that, sometimes a call is placed, and be on their way. This one is Liam Neeson.

Call me a cheapskate but On the rare occasions I am out for a length of time I decant water into a bottle from my Brita filter Don't drink soda and often avoid tea and coffee as they are nearly always rubbish

LOL - very wise Mike, if you don't need to buy it why should you? These days decent coffee isn't difficult to come by I find, unless you are in some part of the country untouched by time, and there are a few!

The Royal National Institute for the Blind (RNIB) website. I wanted to buy a talking clock for mum, who's registered blind. So off I went to the RNIB website where you can buy such things and not have to pay the VAT. I tried to buy straight from the site and EVERY parameter on their web forms is "required," but as I wanted to send it straight to her I was not able to provide a phone number, nor an email address (really?) for her, as she's 97, registered blind, partially deaf, and in a nursing home.
I tried to open an account so I could vent my spleen mention this to them, and on three different browsers I got all the way through the form (again, every parametere is "required") until I got to the "Submit" button, which does absolutely bugger-all. If you try to *click* it with the form incorrectly filled it it immediatrely asks you to correct the individual error,, after which it's forgotten your password, so you have to re-enter it, and even though the "I accept the Terms and conditions and Privacy policy. " box is ticked it asks you to tick it again, which involves unticking it, trying to submit the data so it brings up the omission once more, and then re-ticking the box... after which clicking the button still does bugger-all. As I said, on three different (Firefox, Opera, and Chrome) browsers.
What a shite web shop for such an organisation to have.
