I have what I have for various reasons. I was at the end of my audio-gear journey before I married over twenty years ago and loved this system to bits, but for financial and space reasons I can never return to it now, so I've gone into mostly geriatric vintage gear which does low volumes very well and some of this I sold new to the first keeper - it was Top End then before the term was coined and it's still pretty damned good now, so I'm happy enough (what I can't afford I no longer lust after).
It looks as though we may be moving later this next year and some of the stash (old turntables probably) will have to go or be dumped sadly. Hopefully I can keep one fairly good system to enjoy my music on and retain one on the workroom, wherever that might turn out to be.

What do you use now, Dave? Oh Gawd... Dual turntables mostly, vintage Crown and not so vintage NVA amps (these particular mid 70's Crowns with Klotz cabling aren't so different from the NVA's sonically once the former had a freshen up here and there - and that surprised me) and Spendor and small early IMF speakers. I also have some 'BBC Boomers*' awaiting selling (one set) and possible updating (the second set) and if I end up selling both, JBL here we come (another minefield as some are fantastic and others squawk, shriek and spit depending on model and age...)
* Actually 'boomers' is unfair as they were designed right from the start to be used on high stands in free space in larger rooms- they don't boom at all then in fairness....

If you want a good home for any of your vintage equipment after you move give me a shout.
