It will be interesting to see how many after-market mods will be made for the SP-10R ... I couldn't possibly say !!

I wonder if the old obsidian plinths from the previous SP10 will fit the new one. If so, I can see demand for them rising.

Mind you that won't stop demand 😉 Yes they will fit the old plinth. And in the plinths at very reasonable prices from Easter Europe on eBay. I have many reviews from various magazines and can't see any reference to rubbish, can you point me to that please ? Thanks Dave

I remember reviewers not being so keen on the arm, but not the plinth. Although I don't feel quite as repulsed as Andrew by the aesthetics of the thing, I have always thought the SP10 looked wrong in any plinth I have ever seen one in. The obsidian one being the least worst, I think. However, this new one is a massive improvement, I reckon. Perhaps the best looking SP10 yet. I'd do it differently though!

The standard fitment the EPA100 got good reviews in the magazines I read, although I didn't like it personally.
Can anyone link to any of these bad reviews ? Anyone ??

No link, but I may have a copy of a magazine somewhere. Can't remember which one it would have been.

The only reviews that could possibly have found the SP-10 'rubbish' would be from the old flat earth publications.

Well, I looked and can't find any bad reviews of either the plinth or the arm, neither can I remember any at all ? It could be as Martin said, the Flat Earth hearsay and not real ? Here is the one that I use for all 70's 80's equipment www.soundhifi.com/dave/SL1000%20review.pdf Dave

Well, I never fell for the flat earth, so... Anyway, yes, I have that copy of Choice but that's not the one I am thinking of. That same magazine you link to had a review of the Trio LO-7D as well and I clearly remember that they didn't like that arm!
