Give us a chance, I only just taken it out of the fridge. When I have warmed it up it will be home made chicken and veg soup with loads of pepper.

Fried salt fish with dried shrimps and egg on bread. It's one of the West Indian dishes. There is supposed to be pre-boiled green plantain in it as well, but I couldn't be bothered with the latter.

Same as yesterday, and it'll be the same tomorrow. You remind me of the time when I was studying at Putney College in the seventies. I was in a crew that went down to either the local McDonald's or Kentucky every Monday to Thursday and ordered basically the same thing every time. The only day we had anything different was on the Friday, when we went down to the pub at lunch time to watch the strip tease and have fish and chips. I went off McDonald's for more than a decade after that, and Kentucky even longer.

The difference is the loaf does me for 3 days, and so does the cheese, and I'm happy about that because it's bloomin' gorgeous. Not so much "because it's there" as "because it's delicious." Save
