Can anyone recommend a good source for 450g 12" poly album sleeves?
I took a punt on some on ebay recently and wasn't very impressed with the quality ...

Still Nagaoka inner sleeves for me, inside the original or a paper replacement.

Yes jules. I have a load of 12" single that i might get a cheap deck to transfer them to Digital at some point.. Its a big might tho.. However I sold near on 2,000 LP's & over 3,000 12" singles over the last few months. I had to remove a lot of sleeves to keep the weight/cost down for bulk sales.
No going back this time tho..

Laptop running Media Monkey/FLAC Files - High Resolution Technologies [HRT] Streamer - Hi-Fi News 'Head case' Headphone amp - AKG 'K240 Mk.II' Headphones
Head case to be fully Rebuilt Headphones has replacement Silver lead Interconnect lead to be replaced with Silver DIY Interconnect.
Change the Laptop for Media player when i can find one i like. But even now it sounds better than Records to my ears.

But even now it sounds better than Records to my ears. And a lot less faffing about However, I doubt I'll ever sell my LP collection, sold loads in the 80s and have always regretted it. But file based will be my source of choice from now on. I need some LP outer sleeves too

Them's inners. I reckon Jules be lookin' fer outers. Nagaoka do make outers as well ( 108/3 ) in 3.0mil PP Polythene PE is cloudy & not used by the japanese they have always used Polypropylene PP PP is Glass Clear & Artworks pops out & spines are easy read from a distance

I have a great deal of trouble getting my head around this specialist sleeve malarky! why does hi-fi have to have specialist everything?

Because there is a lot of money to be made by manufacturers and retailers!

But why all the BS. I never got a single bit of static from run of the mill poly lined paper sleeves.

For inner sleeves, I'm very happy with a big stash of Nagaoka D shaped poly inners from Snow Records Japan - turned out to be very good value.
Thanks to the boy ChrisB for the tip off on that.
