Harbor Lights was the most recent album I had (only CD) but that is where I lost him. That one was stolen with most of my other CDs soon after, but have the earlier albums on vinyl still, including the recent audiophile reissue of The Way It Is.

Up to the year 2000.
Live albums can so often be a let down. Not this one. If pushed I prefer the studio versions of these songs but very happy having different versions and they are different as Bruce likes to go off on one every so often.
The unfortunate let down on this is the idiots booing so much. Booing here supposedly being the same as cheering or clapping. Be good to have edited those clowns right out

Big Swing Face
After the previous live album this came as a very pleasant surprise with the depth and detail from the studio made album. He does have well made albums
One you have to have

Halcyon Days
A masterpiece. Worth buying just for one of the individual tracks although not all at the same 10/10 level. Still a bargain music wise
Play it *loud*

Levitate (2009)
Remember this as not so good. I was wrong. While not in the same class as Halcyon Days or Spirit Trail it is well worth having. Pleasant surprise. Another to buy if you don't have it

The Way It is tune was sampled by 2Pac for 'Changes' which actually is quite a good track in its own right if you like that sort of music.

Bride of the Noisemakers Odd title and a cover that Sir Humphrey would call "brave"
Another live CD, 2 in fact so why bother ? Same old tracks
BH fans jump in as there are well over 2 hours of tracks you know done a bit or a lot differently. Not the same very high quality as the studio albums, just great musicianship and flow. The band works very well throughout. Very enjoyable. An album I have played many times and will continue to do so.
Non BH fans also have a go as this is all you need or may even get you to appreciate Bruce a lot more and delve into the rest of the catalogue Highly talented songwriter, musician and pianist

Rehab Reunion
Up to date on 'normal' albums
Quite good. Not up to the normal BH standards. Just about worth having. 6 or 7/10 even with Mavis on one track

Intersections 1985-2005. A compilation with load of unique tracks plus some from Spirit Trail, Halcyon Days.
4 CDs and a DVD
He so often takes one of his songs and does it slightly or very differently. Glad to say all versions stand on their own very well

A new one to me Ricky Skaggs And Bruce Hornsby - Cluck Ol' Hen Not on Spotty. This is the best I can get to work on Amazon.com Cluck ol' hen
If you like bluegrass this could be for you. Not for me at all. Shows his skills on the joanna as usual and has a good time

Anyone checked this out ? Is the remastering good, bad or indifferent ?

Two and a bit years later, working through alphabet of my CDs and up to
Hornsby
Probably haven't played any Bruce since then and the upgrades to the system in that time have upgraded the music making a different version of each album
The Way it is : Good. Well worth hearing and back into the album playlist for another go at least
Scenes from the Southside : Better sound from this album. A step up in the quality of the production
The way it is Tour Live : Good music. Sound a little flat, differing versions of tracks on the first album and well worth having
A night on the town : Good.
