I hate the cheap plastic remote controls that some manufacturers provide with their equipment. Thankfully, My kit has some of the sexiest, chunkiest, heavy metal remotes going. I was at MikeMusic's yesterday for a music listening session and was suitably impressed with the weight and solidity of his Rega Isis remote control, so I thought I'd post a gallery of my own. There are some true heavyweights here! Show me yours!

My system only has one, which is the distinctly unremarkable and inappropriately cheap looking thing that came with my CD player.

I have two nice hunks of milled aluminium (for the Ayre and Pass) and other assorted plastic ones.

My chunkiest ever remote handset was for my old Chord 2600 integrated amp. Should be classified as a self defence weapon, I think! Really, weighty and solid.

I'd rather have 'cheap but it works' to 'beautiful but unreliable' The remote for a Canton soundbar I had was good looking, solid metal but you virtually had to hit the buttons with a hammer to get them to work.

That Spectrum really is a thing of beauty to my eyes ... I have a couple of Consonance remotes that are made from aluminium billet - they are very neat and functional.

This one arrived recently. I've included the shipping container for scale. OK, not really, but it is pretty huge.
