LOL - I'll have to see what it does before joining such an exclusive member's club.

It's a very down to earth grounding club Jules!

Jules if you build one try it on the DAC first, it should help the DAC. I have some spare cables either USB or balanced you cab use with it

Thanks John, that would be excellent!

I agree that grounding boxes seem to help digital components well. I never noticed much difference with analogue components and stopped bothering.

I now use YouTube a lot to listen to music on well recorded live video the sound is stunning and actually prefer a little bit over Spotify however for some strange reason albums sound better on Spotify I used to think YouTube was the worst platform to listen to music but now I really enjoy it

Visiting Vic is a dangerous thing as he often has something that makes me question my system. Vic latest equipment he bought is the SMSL M400 it uses the AK4499 chip and his system was pretty much on par with my system. I have long wanted to decrease the boxes and cables and this would be a good way to do it. I got a Gustard A22 with Bluetooth 5 it uses 2 AK4499 and in XLR outputs at 6v in the preamp section. Giving it a bit more oomph! Anyway it works I get more detail without sounding harsh and have drastically reduced the box count and still got a upgrade in sound quality. Gustard A22 BT5 by

Great result John - does it give you a choice of codecs for Bluetooth?

Congrats on the A22. I like the Gustard DAC. Their quality control could step it up. Both the x16 and x26p have had their QC issues. Mine runs as hot as a cattle branding iron so my fingers crossed the nothing blows over the next few years!

I'm sorry John but I find your new system diagram completely unacceptable! Where is your source? Please update at your earliest convenience before moderation.

Excellent.
Have you made any changes to how the system is powered?

Only change to the system would be the use of grounding boxes on the spur and ring mains Perhaps I do another diagram But no it still powered by the Temples to the Kefs and Behringer to the Neos

John, can you isolate your thoughts on the Aucharm box grounding your mains earth? I'm going to write my thoughts on it shortly and am intrigued to compare notes - accepting that you appear to have a more severe local noise issue than I do.

I think the box you have works but out all the grounding boxes it is the least effective. I think the other boxes mixes different materials and are heavier and this has a more positive affect on the noise floor So I use the most expensive box on my the spur cable. This took a day to come on song and with this my system sounds more natural Not night and day but a definite improvement I have 2 boxes on the ring main. The first one which is not the one you use made the biggest difference. I had to cut about 20hz off my bass crossover a sure sign the Temples are driving the Kefs better The box you had made a difference but not as much I had to drop another 7hz with my crossover. I have more issues than you so I think I am seeing a bigger effect I would say having all the boxes has made the biggest difference in my system. It is like a cumulative effect where a few small changes makes a overall bigger change. The interesting bit in my system it totally not my imagination as I have to adjust the crossover on my Bass as the Kefs are being better driven.
