North of London? Good grief man, do I look like I own a whippet? I hear it's like another country North of London, and you look like you have a bit of foreign in you. Cheeky bugger! Born and bred in Kent I was, as were my parents and grandparents.

It's 30 degrees and 60% humidity here right now and I've just finished mowing the lawn and am sopping wet. Just going back into the airconditioned house. Boy I miss the cold!

Being of sound mind (some might say) I gave the bike ride a miss yesterday. Slightly above freezing today looks like another miss. Can take the temperature, not so keen on the wet/ice/snow

Got out this morning to see the neighbour's 5 series BMW partly on the pavement sideways. Somebody smacked into it last night and did a runner. I already had two cars written off at that exact some parking spot, and seen numerous others damaged over the years. They come flying round the bend, only to then be confronted by rows of cars either side of the road.

The Brits are hilarious about the weather. They bang on about it endlessly when in fact we live on a very temperate island, never experiencing the extremes at all.

Coming back from my cousins last night (around 11pm) the M4 was quite slippery in places... other than that, we haven't appeared to suffer in our area much. My parents on the other hand who live in West Sussex, had quite a downpour of snow.

Yesterday's temperature maxed out at 38 degrees!
Still waiting for a storm to break the heat wave. Maybe today...
