It was a 2008 335d M-Sport Coupe (now sold). The runflats were Bridgestone and they may as well have been polished steel drums. The ride was harsh, the grip in the wet poor and the grip in snow non-existent. A set of Hankooks sorted that. The same tyres on the Honda are epic - it corners on rails. Exactly my experience.

I bought the Carchet system and installed it yesterday. I have to say that this system works really well. I had a slow puncture on one wheel with the old set of tyres and the alarm feature meant that I simply couldn't ignore it, which is a great safety feature. Thankfully I had a new set of tyres installed last Saturday but I love the continuous monitoring of pressures, it does work well. 2.5 bar all round seems to work well in my car, and the alarm goes off if the pressure reduces below 2.0 bar.

Thanks for posting something in this thread. Because that reminded me to fit the old set from my wife's car onto her new car. The sensors showed that the front left and rear right had a pressure of 41 psi, whilst the other two were 33 psi. The correct pressure should be 33 at the front and 35 at the rear. I have now corrected that, but without the sensors I would never had known that the pressure was wildly incorrect.
