I've had a Mutec Ref10 Reference Clock in circuit for a month or so now and it makes an astonishing improvement to the sound of my digital front end, supplying a 10MHz clock signal to my dCS Vivaldi kit.
Timing (unsurprisingly) palpability, soundstage, imaging and resolution are affected as well as lower system noise floor and a deeper, more solid bass!

Indeed, Steve, the Mutec MC-3 is a rather amazing device and its reclocking abilities are the best I've ever heard.
Never mind the Ref 10, the clock inside the MC-3 is superb and outperforms the Allo Kali in every way musically. I'll review it properly when I've got a full handle on it.

I have a Mutec MC-3+ USB on loan and it's an amazing piece of kit. I'm listening to all sorts of music and streams and will try some actual CDs later, too. How are you integrating this into your set up, Martin? I assume you're not using USB?

Yes, I'm taking the USB straight from the Pi into the Mutec, and then via AES to the LKS DAC. This is equivalent to the Pi feeding the Kali via GPIO and then from the Kali via I2S to the LKS.

Hi Mike, The Mutec has been around for a few years its not a new product to the market, but few of home audio guys have not got to grips with them yet. You have experienced this device recently when you dropped in for your cable to be retro fitted.

Nothing to do with the Mutec thingy but i removed the stock clock from my Naim CD3.5 and fitted a diy PFM flea powered tent labs oscillator with its own little psu. A tiny pcb mount EI transformer with bridge rectifier and a 6800uf cap before the pfm flea and a couple of cms wire to the dac and decoder.
I followed advice from acoustica.org and Martin Clark at PFM. I have made many modifications to this cdp and the new clock is one of the best i ever did. Totally amazed me how all the instruments, vocals and the whole performance sounded more natural. If i had to buy a different cdp or transport i wouldn't hesitate to do it again.

Nice one, Stu. When I fitted a Tentlabs clock to the Caiman SEG DAC I heard similar revelatory improvements.

Indeed Martin. The separate psu is just as important as the oscillator itself. An excellent regulator, psu with galvanic isolation and earthed near the dac chip was just the ticket. In the CD3.5 running seperate wires for the dac and decoder enabled the bypassing of the inverter chip and removal of it's regulator. It all added up to a glorious result.

After the one change I was very surprised
