This could be good for the forum, especially given that it's a relatively "young" entity. I just hope it coincides with a time I am in the UK because I'd probably travel down to meet everyone.

Somewhere in the South east region Could be kent Essex Middlesex Hertfordshire etc It should be more central then people from west and south midlands could attend easily. Anything involving London and M25 is out for me. Wiltshire / Berkshire is a good central location. Otherwise might as well have two shows SEBO and SWBO.

At this stage anything is possible but I have no doubt wherever its held and whenever it happens it will not please everyone. But if it succesful it could move to different areas.

Having any sort of "bake off" down south will be an achievement, so take what's offered if someone is prepared to organize things.
The Audio Talk "fest" at Owston (near Doncaster) is one I attend and is a brilliant weekend event, but I have to travel 220 miles for the privilege. I'm lucky in having a LWB van so I can take a complete system to show off.
It's surprising how many audiofans want these bake off / fests to be run, but how very few are prepared to organize and run them.
Suggestion. Try a few very local ones, up to six people in someones home, then build upon the likely success. I used to do one myself at it was very worthwhile.

How about calling alll bake offs done via here "TASBO"? You could then simply add the location afterwards. You could have TASBO south East or TASBO Wales or whatever.

I think, in order to gain the best attendance, the Thames Valley / M4 corridor offers the best access to everyone in the south? Otherwise, it really is south-east centric, excluding members from the south-west unless they want a very long journey? Just trying to get the location generally agreed before looking for a venue.

In that case I might be up for it, and bring along some gear. When is it likely to be held?

Reading would be perfect for me, I'd definitely be there, and if I can get appropriate insurance I'll bring some or all of the system along

I'm closing this thread as The ASBO is now announced and all further discussions should go here.
