As we have a worst I thought it only fair to have a best I'll start with the cover for the UK mono issue of the famous Decca Espana!. It has an elegant simplicity that I much prefer over the cover of the stereo version

Shostakovich Symphony No. 13 - Previn, LSO, EMI
Unfortunately there is only one internet photo of this album cover, which I have. It depicts the imagery in the music very well, I think. One of the darkest, scariest and most meaningful of all symphonies. Simply fantastic.

No. I don't think the artist quite has it. Surely that should be a depiction of a communists party arse being licked

OK I fear I am going to struggle with image size here - but I like this cover, and the slightly unusual interpretation by this conductor

Its not so much this particular cover but its an example of a whole series done on Turnabout. great fun and colourful.
