Sovereign introduced me to this forum after meeting him yesterday. Very nice it was to meet him too. I'm sure this forum will prove to be more enjoyable than the last one I joined!

Welcome, Al. Looking forward to hearing what you're using and what you like to listen to. Pics are always good too if you fancy sharing. I've never met James (Sov) but all I've ever seen him do is help people. He's steered you to a good forum IMHO

Al is correct, or Alex. What I like to listen to is quite hard to list, it's probably easier to say pretty much everything but Opera. Current kit list includes:- Sources: iPod Touch into Pure i20. Theta Pearl CD transport. 1210 mk2 with Mike New bearing, Timestep PSU, Vantage Audio platter and feet, Reso-mat mat, Micro Seiki MA-202 arm, Audio Technica 33 PTG cart. Also have an AT ART-1 but suffer with surface noise for some reason. Young M2Tech DAC with MCRU PSU. Arkless one off MC head amp. Croft 25R/RS Pre Croft series 7 power B&W 805 speakers
I do have a picture but it's taken on my phone and the room is really quite dark so it's pretty poor!

Some lovely items there. The AT33 is a peach and the arm is a lovely thing too. Jez Arkless is a great guy who should be a millionaire by now

I definitely prefer what the ART-1 provides, it has a fuller sound to it but for whatever reason, I can not get rid of the surface noise. I've bought a stylus cleaner recently to see if that makes any difference...

Nice kit there mate, I used to have a rather special Croft Epoch pre, sold it recently, I don't regret it but I'd rather have kept it as it is a cracker. A contradiction I know.

Apologies for the poor picture quality. I may invest in a decent camera and learn how to take pictures when I stop spending all my money on cars and hi-fi.

Cheers. I had to have all of my kit on the floor for around a year until my girlfriend found a rack she liked!!!!
It's actually a TV rack but it looks pretty nice, the curved wood works well with the speakers and my listening chair.
