So often you need someone who knows what they are doing to at least start you off.

Plenty of entertainments on the way, in the sunny south of France

It's the "fête locale" all weekend here in the village. Mrs Wonky will be helping, toddler Wonky will be on holiday with the Grandparents, so it will be an ideal time to relax and listen to music.

The building works are nearly finished - this week hopefully will see the last of the builders on site The pile of rubble outside my office window is now beautiful flat soil, which will be a beautiful lawn - after we have picked a few hundred rocks out of it
And our Swiss electrician has just finished his works, including a brand new "tableau" - new dedicated radial circuits, and an extension to the Cat5 wired ethernet, which means the last of the home plugs has been removed
And the music sounds ... just as good as ever, but not any better.
Looking forward to some peace once the builders are gone. And a visit to Wonky - maybe with some toys to play with.
And hoping to have a good ear day. Well, hoping to be completely sorted by then, although that is maybe a bit optimistic. A good ear day will do.

A lawn in France? Good luck. It must be nice to see the end of the building works. and to finally be at the end of the disruption. It will soon be time to relax, and enjoy the peacefulness of the countryside.
I really hope you get your ear sorted. It can't be much fun. I hope we will have time to "play" when you visit, but it is not at the top of the list of things to do.

Thanks
I may have a couple of toys of interest to you - we'll see what happens this week.
The ear is much improved. Partly, I am 95% sure the specialists know what the problem is - Eustachian Tube dysfunction caused by an ear infection. That often resolves by itself, and although I get good blocks of hours and bad blocks of hours, I am progressively getting more good ones and fewer bad ones - helped by steroids and other treatments. And if it doesn't just resolve, then there is much new hope from a treatment known as balloon tuboplasty. But it is better than it was, and still improving. Slowly.
Lawn may have been the wrong term. But grass and wild thyme, like we have elsewhere in these patches, rather than rubble and building waste.

Oh joy. More temptation. I will be playing with my new coffee machine as well, I am hoping to be able to serve a decent coffee by the time you get here.

I'll have a go later today . Clearly I need to master Flickr since photobucket in addition to being grindingly slow wants to charge for hosting.

Flickr is relatively easy to use.
I am intrigued by the toys, and I am wondering if one of them is a KK?

Flikr is great - but not intuitive for me. Every time I try it I am back to base and cant remember how to do anything
Toys were not Funk ones. Will catch up with Arthur before I see you though... I thought maybe a proper Technics stylus and some speakers - at least to stick in the boot. Not the ESL's - Ventrical and, maybe if I have them, TSR 102.2's (there, that's probably jinx'd it)
Photo's to follow - with luck

And the final set - the garage (nearly finished) The garage footings (Bit of a "full and frank discussion" when the mayor cut off the water without warning 7/8 of the way through the concrete pour) And the garage rises... And starts to add a roof Then a roof with tiles And today the garage showing path back to house from office And finally, the newly landscaped former building site (few tools still to clear) Garage needs a coat of paint (recently fetched from Wickes Maidstone) and the electrics installing

Very nicely done. There must be some pressure on those pool walls! Thanks Martin. Yes those walls take a lot of strain. Its not easy to see, but there are steel angles in the uprights, which have fat plates set in the concrete below.
