If it's the same dude making it surely it can be just as good if not better?

My new 75 ohm BG7TBL master clock is in place and working nicely. We're in the sphere of tiny gains here, but I do get a little more musical flow and naturalness, and that works for me. The Canare LV-77S cables from Greece are late but should arrive soon.
I seem to have, by luck or good judgement, tuned my system to make Leonard Cohen sound absolutely superb. I just can't stop playing his albums. This is a good thing.

Nothing to report except that the new BG7TBL clock seems to have reached full performance. Everything sounds fantastic with the deepest soundstage I've yet had and an ease of delivery that is very pleasing. No listener fatigue (just work fatigue).
No sign of the clock cables from Greece but I'm hardly suffering.

The Canare LV-77S clock cables have arrived and are now in place. I ordered them short (300mm) and they are a tight fit from clock to ER and Mutec. Almost too short!
I'm leaving them to settle and will have a proper listen later.

They are pretty substantial and come with very nice Canare BNC connectors. I slotted them in place of the LV-61S cables. It's early days but right away I can hear even more vibrancy, snap and another layer of low level soundstage.
Never mind good acoustic recordings, what it does for well constructed electronic creations like Yello's Flag, a truly wonderful album, has to be heard to be believed. Incredible layering and depth.
Who would have thought clock cables could make such a difference?

System Status (yes, there is an end game for the time being) Router | done | Streamer | done | Reclockers | may have Coherent breath on my Mutec sometime | Master clock | done | DAC | done | Buffer | done | Power amp | done | Speakers | done | Power | done | Power supplies | will have Coherent breath on my 2nd LPSU for the router | Cables | have ordered an AES cable to upgrade the AudioQuest Carbon | Grounding | done |
Nearly there!

The key bit is endgame for the time being I'd be a fool if I said I'm done forever. However, these last few nights of listening have told me that I'm there. The system is all pulling together and the result is all that I'd hoped for.

I made a good discovery today. You may remember that I've had one of my Chinese 12V LPSUs upgraded by Tony at Coherent, the one that powers the EtherREGEN and master clock. The other one, powering the router, is standard.
I found in amongst my stuff an old Paul Hynes PR3iEHD power supply that I had built for powering a T-Amp. I opened it up and set it for 12V output, changed the output plug to a 2.1mm DC plug and set it to power the router. Bingo - a noticeable improvement in definition, spacial depth and overall clarity. This with it just plugged into the wall, not the regenerator.
That was worth finding out. I'm now wondering whether to just leave it powering the router or have the Chinese one upgraded.

I'm really impressed with the router being powered from my old Paul Hynes PSU, which is hugely over-the-top for powering a router. Paul knows a thing or two about PSUs and the stiffness of the regulation clearly shows. I'm leaving it in place and will modified the power inlet so that I can run it from my P10 regenerator.

Done - the Paul Hynes LPSU is running from the P10 regenerator on an SR Red fuse. I also tidied up the DC plug end, soldering the ground cable directly in, leading to the SGS-1 grounding box. I then exchanged the SR Red fuse in the Chinese LPSU feeding the ER and clock for an SR Blue I had spare.
Finally, I'm trying out a new Black Ravioli platform that David Brook of MCRU sent me. It's a sandwich of aluminium and BR material, nicely made. I've put it under the DAC as my most sensitive component. That gives the LKS four levels of isolation, the Mutec five and the clock six.
The sound has a new-found element of extreme clarity and naturalness. Listening to Everything But The Girl, Tracy Thorn comes across as right there in the room while all manner of programmed percussion makes for a busy mix.

Moved the SR Blue fuse to the router, putting a Red back in the LPSU. Better.
