If I could give one example of what my system does so well, it's to reproduce a song like You Don't Pull No Punches, But You Don't Push the River by Van Morrison, from his Veedon Fleece album. open.qobuz.com/track/44529957Playing this at my normal volume of -12dB, the intro has all the air and depth of a great ensemble recording, and then his voice hits you like a train. The power of it is something my system is just able to do justice to now. I do enjoy his stream-of-consciousness songs and this is one of his best. I guess it's a love/hate thing, but I've been going through his entire catalogue and I admire his unique style now more than ever. Very pleasing to attain this level of performance and makes me want to sink into his music. Perhaps Van Morrison is my Zappa?

Been trying to get over or around his voice. Tried before and failed

I'd hoped to generate a little interest in discussing Van Morrison's music, but there doesn't seem to be any interest!

I don't mind some of his music. It can be hit and miss, and even when I find something I like I rarely listen again.

My shipment of door stoppers from Germany was returned to the seller due to customs paperwork. Thanks, Brexit. He sent me a nice message in German saying he's resending them. No hurry.
That will take me up to 12 of them, sufficient for everything including the grounding boxes.

Have you thought about similar weight items that would be easier to get hold of ? I have and come up blank so far

Have you thought about similar weight items that would be easier to get hold of ? I have and come up blank so far Nope. Once I bought the first box of Schramms, I thought they were perfect: heavy, rubber protection underside and look nice. The Germans do other brands, they seem to like weighted door stops over wedges.

Might be worth checking Aldi. I bought several identical ones in our local branch here - although rather radically, I use theme as door stops!

OCD, insanity and other things beckon....
Has anyone tested sound quality with different and heavier weights ?

Has anyone tested sound quality with different and heavier weights ? Mike goes further in the pursuit of sound quality than anyone ever before I will say the Schramms do make a difference, including with grounding boxes.

What pieces can I place on top of each other, but not necessarily attached?
i.e. a grounding box on top of an amp? A power supply on top of a network switch?

Don't know about grounding boxes but I'd keep PSUs away from everything

Yep, PSUs kept separate but I put grounding boxes on top of components, which are themselves both on BR feet, then weigh the lot down with a Schramm.

My four Schramm weights arrived from Germany. Now deployed on grounding boxes.
I also spotted an opportunity, triggered by something an Aussie chap mentioned on the Audiophile Style forum. He enquired why I wasn't grounding my AfterDark clocks as well as the components they are feeding. I've played with it before, but in a different configuration. I didn't have a good answer, so I tried grounding the 2nd AD feeding the Mutec with one of my spare BR grounding boxes. It feels like a small change in the right direction, so I've ordered another Aucharm grounding box, loaded with more Nectar points.
