Everyone in IT support has been an "Eric" at least once. Once a bloody week.

Douglas Adams, one of the great masters of quotes in my books. When challenged by his apparent tardiness in fulfilling publication deadlines he replied, “No no, no, I love deadlines. I love the whooshing noise they make as they go past!”.

I love the whooshing noise they make as they go past!”. I once used that quote directly after a client meeting, and the rest of the team (I was a humble contractor, and was invited to the meeting as a courtesy) looked at me with that " Should I laugh, cry, or just ignore the lunatic?" expression. I'm sure you know the one, Pete.
