The names of the guilty have been removed.
A certain person told me the kettle was broken, gets very irate when anything doesn't work.
Looks for an alternative online, finds it, gives me the link. Insists we must have it. Has to be red !
"Let me look at it first, probably the base unit with a loose wire"
I prepare to get to work with screwdriver and other tools. My loins are girded
Plug is partly out of the socket. Push plug back in.........

When they fail it's because one of the copper contacts gets burnt-away and fails to mate with the brass prong in the kettle. Normal access to the base Is prevented, requiring the type of flat blade tool with a slot. Just for future reference.

Nice one, Chris. White collar worker, eh? You can always dress down for your regular 'site visits'.

The Chewing the Fat clip really amused me. Jack & Victor were characters in Chewing the Fat and later took on a life of their own with Still Game. Victor's blind date is classic. I never get tired of watching it.
Series 7 was made this year. Sadly, they only do 6 episodes. This is the second episode:

One of my Mums friends has a small part in it this season!
Kind of surprised you Engerlish blokes get it
My fave was Karen Dunbars old lady character who, when asked to recall her memories of the war, turns it all into filth. Aye son, those bomb shelters were grea for a pounding! Most of the time ye didnae know who wiz hingin out ye as you only had the light of yer fag to go by!
