Thought I had better update this thread. I have all the drivers now ( Fane colossus 18XB, Beyma 12p80nd and Beyma tpl150h) and two of the three amps ( have the Leben CS300SX and a Crown XLi1500, still waiting for the Hiraga Le Monstre).
Also have all of the 24mm ply cut to size to make the u-frame boxes in the back of the 18"s. Still need to build these yet but all parts are on site as it were. I decided to go with 40mm solid oak kitchen worktop for the front baffles and bought 3m of the stuff for £140 delivered from Worktops Direct. This will make two baffles 1.2m high with an offset taper at the top from square around the 18"s. I have one of the baffles already routed to shape with rounded edges and just starting on the second baffle. Have the t-nuts and bolts for the drivers and will surface front mount the 18s and rebate front mount the 12s; the horns will be surface front mounted.
SpeedySteve of this parish has built and supplied a Najda Dac/preamp/digital crossover which I have been using with the Leben as poweramp into my Mauhorns and Lowther DX4s and all I can say is stunning. Not missing my SJS Arcadia line stage and highly modified Audio Note Dac 2.1X Signature at all, extremely high praise indeed!!
