…How I can do this.
I want something made which has an engraving on one face. I want the engraving painted blue and the rest of the item painted black.
I can paint the engraved face blue, and then the whole item black - but then how can the black be removed to reveal the blue engraving?

Self adhesive coloured sheets cut to fit. There are companies in print finishing that will cut intricate patterns by laser if that helps

Thanks. But I would like something a bit better, if I can. It's the head-block for a Mission 774. Rather than have a sticker with the Mission logo on it, I'd like to have it engraved.
Might be able to do it with a paint roller

Do the old wax crayon trick, paint the whole item in the engraving colour you want, or even just the engraved bit as good as you can, won't matter if go over the edges, then fill the engraving with wax and then paint it all over in black. Warm the wax and hey presto.

Can I just say I've never tried that method, it just sort of came to me, don't blame me if it goes horribly wrong lol

Thanks for that. I did actually think the same but wondered if it would really work. Wondered if all the wax could be evacuated. Think I'll give it a go all the same. Need to get the head-block made first.
