I was advised to run a series of different frequencies through the Hifi and listen for any inaccuracies or distortion and there was nothing wrong at all so I'm guessing it has got to be in my head to be honest.

Maybe you could try borrowing another make of amp. When you go back to the Exposures I bet they sound wonderful

Aha, I think I have worked it out, it has absolutely nothing to do with the time I acceidently turned up the volume, it just coincides with that. At or around the same time, I got my new Audiophile Base platform, and have changed the configuration around so that the Yamaha Surround Sound amp sits at the bottom, with the Exposure Power Amp now up a level. I remember being told that all amplifiers, especially with Exposure's, you should always ensure that the pre amp is as far away from the power amp as possible, and now I have brought them closer together (being only one product apart). So I am going to reconfigure the setup and hopefully that will bring back the overall sound that I loved when I first bought these speakers
