That's down to Kaz, but I certainly hope so.

It's ok, Chris , we've discussed this behind the scenes and are ok with Kaz declaring his interest with NVA and being a member here, as long as he obeys the rules as with any of our members who have a declared trade interest. We will not exhibit any bias towards or against a product brand here at TAS. Thank you Martin. Chris, I can appreciate your current stance and time will indeed tell, but please give me a fair chance. Apologies for the early non(sense), I will do my best to reign this in

Fair enough.
To be fair I rather like the passion NVA seem to display about their products.

You're gonna be more bother than yer worth. "Forum representative" - inability to read and understand rules, rather new to posting....hmmm...seem to have aced the interview. Oh well, let's see what happens.

Just to mention that loans are apparently at Kaz's discretion rather than on demand. People who have been undermining NVA on this and other forums therefore will not be loaned equipment. Just passing on the message but if you have upset RD in the past forget it.

It is at the prerogative of NVA, of course, but let's be careful not to bring baggage from any other forum here. The request can be made and then I expect further discussions to be taken to PM, not argued here in open forum.
Oh, and for the sake of answering the question before it's asked: PMs on TAS are completely and utterly private. There is no mechanism available on ProBoards by which the Admins or Mods can read them and nor would we want to try. That's what 'Private' means.

but if you have upset RD in the past forget it. So that's pretty much everyone excluded then. Regarding private PM's, it is RD's openly stated stance that PM's can be freely copied and posted publicly so I would bear that in mind.

Careful - this thread is in danger of going off course.
In our view, a PM is a private communication and we would look very dimly on any member who broke that privacy by copying the contents onto a public site.

Just passing on the message but if you have upset RD in the past forget it. Undermining NVA? I guess the irony of my post was completely lost on certain people. Personally, I am not the slightest bit interested for reasons I won't go into here. Is the loan scheme at Kaz's discretion or that of Richard Dunn? The message needs to be clear. I do think that loan schemes are a great way for people to try kit in their own home, and it is no surprise to see NVA jumping on the bandwagon. I just hope that all amps get shipped with suitable speaker cables? Graham Slee operates a loan scheme where you can borrow the full product range in the UK, Europe, US, Canada and Australia so there is a bit of catching up to do by certain parties.

Look, we're not going to go down the road of an extended debate here. If you don't want to loan NVA equipment, then fine.
Kaz is here, Richard isn't, so it's obvious that we deal with Kaz.
As for loan schemes in general, they are a superb idea as it's damned difficult to borrow much equipment these days and near-impossible with cables and such. So we see this as a good thing and a service to our members.

Actually, I can think of a number of dealers that will loan cables and all the 'on line' retailers have money back return schemes (they have to).
I agree that equipment loan schemes are a good idea - usually such loans are baggage free.

I did realise you were being ironic knowing your relationship with The Doc

I personally think being able to try equipment in your home is the best way to get a sense if it right for you and good to see many companies doing this
