Tom Waits Closing Time
Surprised by this. It's very good!
1973 Surprised by that, too.
I'd no idea at all he'd been around anywhere near that long. He managed to completely pass me by in my youth.

A classic, sadly often overlooked by many, well worth a listen. They are often sited as Psychedelic Rock/Prog Rock but I think the breadth of their compositions go beyond these limits and IMHO ventures into aspects of Jazz. Despite Mike's insistence that if music has a lead solo cello then it must be classical, I'll put this album in the general thread.
Some interesting and entertaining cello music here from Zoe Keating

What I would call a stunning album, it's up their with the best IMHO, recently re-released on 3*LP and its SQ is excellent. One of the best albums I have listened to for some time, this will played a lot. Not quite classical but should be fun with the amount of attack and note explosions on Martin system if not a bit scary

"'Till we Meet Again" (Live) by Norah Jones 96/24 download. She is a fabulous live entertainer. We thoroughly enjoyed seeing her at the Festival Hall a few years ago.
