Psychedelic Porn Crumpets - 'High Visceral pt.1' Great name...and no, it's not a badly timed April fool's joke! I've got a couple of their albums; they're not bad, are they? Aussies iirc.

One of The Mars Volta's most challenging listens IMO. It has taken me at least 3 listens to get to grips with some of the songs, there are a lot of complex rhythms and multl-layers going on often at breakneck speed. Each time I listen the more detail I hear The Mars Volta – The Bedlam In Goliath Label: Universal Records – B0010616-01 Format: 2 × Vinyl, LP, Album, Red/Black Half And Half Vinyl, 7", Shape, Limited Edition, Picture Disc Country: US Released: 10 Jun 2008 Genre: Jazz, Rock, Latin, Funk / Soul Style: Jazz-Rock, Psychedelic, Prog Rock

Joe Bonamassa - Royal Tea
I thought I'd got the wrong album when track 1 started playing.
Basic premise, for those who don't already know, "can you make an album sound like it was authentically borne of a specific place by immersing yourself in that environment through every stage of writing and recording"?
So, Joe set up in the Abbey Road Studios for 5 weeks to write and record the record.
Contributing are his old mate and Whitesnake legend Bernie Marsden, Cream lyricist Pete Brown on the words side, as well as Eurythmics' Dave Stewart and Jools Holland. His regular band - drummer Anton Fig, bassist Michael Rhodes and organ man Reese Wynans - are also in the mix. Bob Ludwig did the mastering.

That's great. I'm really glad you like it. It is my absolute favourite live album. I love the atmosphere of the quieter tracks and the attack and bite of the heavier ones. The growl of the bass guitar at the beginning of FUBB is superb!

Oh what a great live album, wonderful stuff, and I have even met Stacia although it was 40 years after I first saw them at Reading Festival in 1976.
