Could you (Stan) make it so that a 12-14v DC PSU (same as your DACs) could be used ?
I'd be interested as one future project is to make a start on digitising some of my vinyl. Good idea then Nicks linear PSU could be used for a sonic up-grade! Bringing out a new phono stage is nothing new, a new set of headphones appear weekly. Making a good one is much harder, however if you have a good reputation its much easier to sell the product than a new start up who has no credibility. If its under £500 I want one please.

The preamp runs on very little current, and I'll explain the reason for that on another day, so I am hoping to ship it with a low current linear power supply. The phono preamp already has its own inbuilt power supply regulation and filtering, so even an unregulated linear power supply will do. On the analogue section proto type that I just completed for testing and adjustment I designed the supply input and circuitry to be able to handle anything from 12 to 24Volts. On paper a higher supply will give you a better headroom performance, so that is something I'll be checking for with my variable output linear power supply.
It's far too early to talk about price. But as it is a discrete design I am hoping that the improved sonic performance over an opamp based phono preamp will make it a worthwhile addition to many turntable based audio systems.

Hmm, so you think that your phono stage will beat the following's entire range because they use op amps? LFD phono stages Graham Slee (some) Trichord NVA Vista Audio (cottage HiFi brand, stunning gear) I don't buy into "discrete sounds better" based on my own experiences. Opamps are perfectly acceptable and indeed can be an optimal way to do it. As with anything, implementation is key. Or how about: hagerman-audio-labs.myshopify.com/collections/phono-preamps/products/bugle2 "It comprehensively betters my previous EAR 834 phonostage and is easily on par with the inbuilt high quality Albarry stage."
