Have you heard the Red Priest version, Jules? I love it, but I'd be interested to know what your opinion is as I think you're probably more invested in the "traditional" aspects of the piece than I am.

Giving this one a go. Think I slightly prefer the first. As the original was my very first ever I may be biased in its favour. This seems more of a soloist *with* the orchestra. First more like the orchestra as an equal rights group

There's no right or wrong in this Mike - I like both approaches to the music.
It's all about the quality of the performances at the end of the day.

Such a span of styles. With talented musicians I guess they will all be at least pretty good

If you listen to I Musici their performances are different again. As Jules said, there is no right performance, it's all about personal preference.
