When I opened this thread I didn't expect such a serious list of dislikes. I was going to add broccoli, but I feel shallow now. Will world hunger do as a top dislike instead? (Though I will happily post my broccoli out to anyone hungry who wants it).

Overly pedantic grammar Nazi's who's life revolves around correcting others as if their great river had mapped out prime destiny in the universe. Those people that sellotape bread crumbs to the window and watch birds batter themselves to death trying to eat it. Women in track suit bottoms three sizes to small, hooped ear rings, fag hanging out of mouth an impossible angle, can of special brew in the other chastising some poor unfortunate that happened to glance said individual momentarily to the rebuke in the best east Essex / 'up north' dulcet tones of "What the F__K you looking at ****!" Female piss heads, men are bad enough when plastered by women taking physical lumps out of each others and taxi drivers on Friday night's is quite something and not in a good way. The dark ages ended a few centuries ago I feel. The people who walk their dogs and don't pick up the resultant mess they leave. Kids that run rings around their parents and their parents have no control over this and this is not a class thing either! Seen plenty of brats out of control on first class planes as well as Ryan air

The people who walk their dogs and don't pick up the resultant mess they leave. Good point. This is my biggest bugbear living it St Anne's. It's all over the place. Bloody irritating. Especially the time a few years ago when my 2 year old son came walking out of the sand dunes with a big lump of dog muck in his hands squeezing it between his fingers.

People who can't negotiate a bend without straying on to the opposite side of the road purely through bad driving and laziness.

i joined this forum believing it to be a place where adults could discuss their interest in audio and music. I fail to see why anyone considers it an appropriate place to post racially offensive comments such as the one by member southall1988 and reinforced by member Chris. It is not only inappropriate; it is currently illegal.
I take offence to the comment and that fact is the criteria for a successful prosecution.

Yes indeed. Communications Act 2003 I believe. Liable to imprisonment for a period not exceeding 6 months, and/or a hefty fine.

South all, do you realise that posting that racist slur leaves you open to prosecution with the possibility of a prison sentence? Your answer to another member who objects to your racist comment is " just don't read it"
Are you serious or just stupid?

I suggest you look up the definition of racism before making inane comments I looked up the definition on the CPS website: "A racial group means a group of persons defined by reference to race, colour, nationality (including citizenship) or ethnic or national origins." The definition is wide and victims may come within the definition under more than one of the references................" (my bold) So perhaps the comment wasn't inane after all. However, I strongly believe that apologies all round, or a deletion of the thread, would be the best course of action.

those people who wear labels on the outside to demonstrate / project their percieved status to the populous otherwise known as all fir coat and no knickers, the type i of person who purchases a large house and puts three or more upmarket cars on the drive and a chandelier in the front living room where it can be seen clearly from the window. Genuine people who are comftable money wise do not have outward displaying labels its understated looks. When it comes to buying a round scurry in the direction of loo's Another old school phrase would be Jag on the drive tin of beans in the cupboard! MOD: section deleted rip rip off tourist areas did I mention EBay the Paris underground hygiene status festival lavatory facilities warm beer!!!

So, if charged with an offence of issuing a racist slur against Jews, your defence would be "I also issued racist slurs against other groups and nobody objected to those comments". i look forward to hearing the Court's view on that defence. that defence is certainly inane.

Chris seems just to be pointing out that you only condemned the unacceptable comment about Jews and not the equally unacceptable comments about people of English and American nationalities which could imply that you tacitly approve of them. Rather than take the opportunity to condemn them you then accuse Chris of being a racist and later imply that he was offering a defence to be used in court. If we apply that same principle you have applied to Chris, then by your own standards it could appear that you have a bigoted and possibly racist view of the English and Americans. Now I'm sure that isn't true but I think you should clarify whether you find Southall's comments about English and Americans to be as equally unacceptable in todays society as comment he made about Jews.
