It's a Micro Seiki MA 202 arm with Ortofon 2M Black I'm setting up: Arm Spec' is:
Effective length: 237mm
Overhang: 15mm
Offset angle: 21 degrees
Height range: 42-88mm
Cartridge range: 4-16g
VTF range: 0-3g
I was told a long time ago that the Rega Baerwald Arc Protractor was the best to use with this arm as it has the same spec as a rega arm so I've always used it...

Aha - you cannot align a Stanton STR8.150 even by offsetting the cartridge. The pivot/stylus length is 7.6" and alignment gauges are for use with 9" arms I suppose that would explain it! I did try lots, and lots (and lots) of trial and error, but gave up. I did think it was probably down to the length of the arm as I couldn't get the cartridge any further forward. The arm does look short. Can't escape the fact. Well, using the Baerwald equations, it should be possible to work out an alignment protractor for a 7.6" arm, and also work out the correct skew angle. Give me a few days and I'll see what I can come up with.

If I recall correctly from my DJing days, the arm of the STR8 150 is engineered specifically for scratching, and this is why it's shorter than a standard arm.
