Anything to improve is good If you simply replace your switched socket for a none switachable one and remove the fuses from your plugs and solder in fuse wire, the improvement is noticable. MOD Alert: do NOT do this! Buy different fuses because anything else renders it unsafe, and it will invalidate your house insurance.

Anything - within reason
Unswitched sockets are a must.
Removing fuses is dangerous and not recommended

You did not read it properly guys, I said replace the fuses with soldered fuse wire. In terms of micro seconds the wire would melt before the one running through the ceramic pipe. An electrician will tell you this!

You argue with your insurance company and convince them. Come back with the evidence when you have, not the electrician you have checked with.
Meanwhile anyone who values their house insurance until you have a certificate of acceptability from you insurers ignore guest's "advice"

Guest, please give up on this one. Solder melts at a low temperature and could fatigue even before the fuse wire, as things heat up. That could cause an unforeseen failure or even a short circuit. I don't need an electrician to tell me this - it's an unsafe practice and could lose you your home or worse. Just don't do it.

Tony took the time to do a demo around mine, must be some 5/6 years ago. He brought a 4d loom (well, power cables and interconnects, the speaker cable was analysis plus).
That demo left quite the impression, with just how utterly quiet and organic it made my system sound. I was upset because at the time they were out of reach for me; I could have got be for the 3D range perhaps.
Recently I’ve decided I want to try a complete loom and spent lots of time researching possible brands. There’s a bewildering array of choice out there, but that demo was always in the back of my mind...
Anyhow, Tony and I have spoken and I’ve decided to take the plunge with a full 6D loom, meaning;
2x sets of RCAs 1x set of speaker cable 4x mains leads
I had to go second hand, to be able to afford it. I can’t wait to try it out in the system!

Knowing and using the 6D cables, I don't think you're going to be disappointed.

I have 6D speaker cables.
The interconnects made less difference so I kept with the Yannis and NVA that I use.

The killer is the import tax here in Australia; 10% on anything over $1,000 (about £550 gbp)!!!
Luckily I’ve got a trip back to England in July booked, so I can get them in person. Now I just have to be patient and wait...
If anyone is interested in a 2.5m pair of two ultra blacks with jumpers or an MCRU ultimate mk II, drop me a pm.

I have recently purchased a Coherent 5D interconnect from Tony, and I am still astounded by the difference it made over my highly reputable TQ Black cable.
Using one of Mike's quotes, it is like I had bought a new black box, and has complimented the other upgrades I have made recently (more details to come when I update my blog).
Not cheap, but a seriously big upgrade.
