One of my prized sources is my tuner. Evelyn Waugh's 'Scoop' is on this afternoon at 15:00. Brilliantly written, and realised by the cast; don't miss it!

You are right of course, but I feel the B.B.C. dropped a clangour with that one.

It is a semantic marketing obfuscation .
commercial radio - Look at the bbc it has got eight national stations that is unfair competition
bbc director general - I know lets call them four and five extra , that will show them .
p.s guest as you find evelyn waugh funny that puts you in the 60-70 age bracket .

In that case it is . Always best to be semantically precise to avoid obfuscation I find .

There is always an exception to every rule .
And I blame you for your daughters terrible taste in literature and you are no doubt in the 60-70 bracket .

How? ,personally I think your post is ridiculously provocative , but if you care to explain how what i said amounts to age discrimination then i will be happy to consider .

A question analogous to "when did you last beat your wife ? "

I don't see why I should be blamed for it, any more than I'm to blame for her taste in music, which is entirely of the Metal variety, or for her taste is food, which is entirely vegetarian.

It was humour . As a father of four who cannot even get his 14 month old to behave , I am fully aware that children are individuals in their own right .
i do apologise for the abscence of a smiley indicating humour in my post

It's weird how children's tastes differ from our own; the other daughter can't stand Evelyn Waugh, but quite likes some of the music I like (along with a lot of soppy singer-songwriter stuff that I don't).

Though strangely Cadence on my ipad still shows the Radio 7 logo rather than the R4 extra one.
