Thanks, Jules. No, it's not my favourite either although the Dvorak does attract.

Looking forward to Leif Ove Andsnes rocking his Grieg tonight at the Barbican - hope it's as good as the recording ...

Enjoy!
Meant to add: I've seen him performing that. He's very good.

It certainly is. Should be an evening of sublime music and performances - can't really ask for a better trio to do the Beethoven Triple! Of course we mustn't get too excited until we see Ms Argerich actually sitting down in front of the piano ...

Indeed, she has disappointed me before with her non-appearance.

If Vengerov closes the evening with Bazzini's " La ronde des lutins" please know that I will hate the two of you forever, just because you were there.

Ouch. I was actually hoping he would Paul!
Any chance of you getting up to London for the gig?

Actually, Jules, I hope he does too. No chance, sadly.

I'm wondering how many people will brave the Festival Hall tomorrow night. I'm definitely going - won't be many opportunities to see those two ladies sharing a stage!

We had tickets for Tannhauser at La Scala the end of this month.

Sorry to hear that Roger - did they offer a full refund or will you keep the tickets to see when it is postponed till?

Yeh a real shame thank you Jules, as much for the weekend away in the city as the performance.

Yes that's a pity.
So many towns I want to visit in Italy, it's not a country I have travelled to in great depth ... would be lovely to combine with some great concerts.

Yes, Milano cuisine combined with a performance at La Scala is a very pleasant thing, I hope you make that some time.
