I keep having issues with pages reloading due to errors. Is anybody else experiencing these issues?

I have had the same thing for a week or more. I use an iPad mini. This and the ipad 2 seem to have been most affected by Apple's disastrously crappy ios8. I have had no end of issues on this and other forums and apps. None of the updates have worked. I've lost a few items on EBay because the buy it now tab repeatedly fails. I also have a lot of trouble copying and pasting, especially photobucket links. Finally the speed of page loading is terrible and many forums and pages crash and reload. The latest debacle with TAS pages only came along with my "upgrade" to ios 8.1.3
Shame on you, Apple. I buy your products because I hate putting up with such nonsense on other devices. Steve Jobs will be turning in his grave.

Yep, I've had the same problem since updating the OS to the latest system, albeit not to any significant extent. Just very occasionally here and some other websites which are a bit clunky anyway. No problems buying on eBay. As ever, Apple will patch it eventually. Otherwise, 8.1.3 is a lot better especially in terms of battery life. I have to visit the charger for my Pad and Phone far less frequently.

The battery drain issue hasn't affected me, but all the other issues I've been afflicted by have remained unaffected by any of their fixes.
I would have no complaints if Apple made it possible to revert to a previous IOS when they so clearly screw up. I loved IOS7 and had no problems. I've put up with months of frustratiion that they could have avoided by letting me revert. It has already cost Apple some of my money and I hope others follow suit. I had planned to replace my laptop with an Apple product but they have really pissed me off with IOS8 so I haven't bothered and won't do until and unless they can convince me they didn't die the day Steve Jobs passed away.

Hmmm, well think well before you move over to another system, because they can be just as clunky and even worse. My experience is that Apple sort problems fairly quickly.
Nevertheless, the ever golden rule is when a system update is offered to you, delay upload and wait to see what others report after they have done it. That allows you to stay secure in your current system and only move on when you are happy a new update has been declared sound, secure and worth embrassing.

One thing I recommend to our students, because iOS 8 and Safari are so flaky, is to install Chrome browser, too. What one cannot do, the other usually can. In fact, it's a rule on all my computers to have Chrome supplement the main browser (in my case Internet Explorer 11).
Try TAS on Chrome.

Thanks guys. It only seems to be an issue with the ProBoards forums (forii?)

The thing is that browser-site compatibility is a symbiotic thing and dependent not only on the browser itself but on plug-ins like Flash, Silverlight, Java, Air etc. It's almost impossible to make any hard and fast rules about it except that we have seen plenty of examples of any one of IE, Safari or Chrome not work with a particular site, but work well with other sites. That's why two (or more) browsers are useful.
I am using IE11 at the moment and I've just tested Chrome, both work fine on Windows 10 with ProBoards as does my Surface2 tablet running IE11 on Windows 8.1 RT.

I was just about to say Chrome had cured the issue, but it's just crashed twice with TAS. Seems like the curse of IOS8 continues.
edit. It's now crashed 7 times so ive binned it off. Shame on you Apple. IOS8 as been out for months now and you still can't make it work.

It mirrors my findings at work (we support some 100 staff and 200 students and many of them have an iDevice), that iOS 8 has been extremely unreliable. As has been said here, you can't go backwards so you're stuck with it

I have had the following on iPad latest ios8,Chrome update a few days ago (automatically downloads and installs).
I use recent to find what I would like to see. As soon as I open a thread to read it boom. Chrome bombs out then gives the did not close down property, do you want to restore the last session. Started about 2 weeks ago as best I can recall.
Safari is happy but I don't want to swap browsers around to see different sites. Having said that I do use Tapatalk sometimes to read a thread here (hate it though).
The more complex things become the greater chance of going wrong.
Used MacBook to post this.

I like Tapatalk a lot on the phone, it does most things very well but takes a bit of getting used to. The unread feature is very useful and not properly replicated in ProBoards.

For anyone hoping that IOS 8.2 would fix the infuriatingly poor performance Ipad users have had to endure since IOS 8 was introduced, prepare to be disappointed. It's just as slow, freezes and reloads and still won't copy and paste properly in Safari.
Nice one, Apple. I'm very grateful for the care you have taken in ensuring our user experience with our IPads is so seamless. Next time I am tempted to spend money on tech, it won't be an Apple product.

Have you tried Tapatalk on the iPad? I'm pretty sure it's available for iOS although I don't use the latter. Once you get used to the different interface, it's pretty effective and suffers from none of the above.

I have a problem replying to a thread with my windows phone. The keyboard keeps disappearing as soon as I want to type something. Anyone using a windows phone as well?

I haven't tried Tapatalk. I think it's just for forums though, isn't it? The ipad issues affect all my web surfing. IOS8 has reduced my favourite gadget to something I curse a lot more than i fel good about. Inexcusable when you consider Apple have built a reputation on a pleasurable user experience. If a company of Apple's size can't fix bugs that they created with their own software on their own products after 6 months, there is something very wrong with the company.
To me, they are like The Ferrari F1 team of 2014. A "cull" of the people responsible for recent failures would greatly restore my faith and hopefully re-invigorate the company. Either that or discovering they managed to download Steve Jobs's brain to create an AI version that can take over again.

Stan - yes, I've had that in the past but not on the latest WP 8.1 Update. Also do try Tapatalk on WP, it's excellent.
Singularity - yes, sorry, I thought you were talking only about forum access.
