Saras need a sodding great Krell up their backside before they start waking up. Could give you a demo, but I don't normally invite people up to the bedroom

Why would you not publish the model number and why would you not accept collection in person?

Good question - I wanted to buy an expensive Sony ES amp from that guy when he used to go under a different ebay name. I wanted to collect it and was a bit suspicious when this wasn't an option ... Here it is in more detail - www.thevintageknob.org/yamaha-A-1000.html

Why would you not publish the model number and why would you not accept collection in person? The not accepting collection in person is easy to answer. I would not allow it for a number of reasons Thru past experience 1. People come wanna make a day of it auditioning it to turn around hum & ha try knocking you down with every petty excus in the book 2. I refuse to have anyone i do not know in my house 3. I have too much stuff i don't want people to see.

audio-database.com/SANSUI/speaker/j11-e.htmlFrom 1979. I saw an ad from the time too, suggesting they were something theynput quite a bit of resource into. 20,000 yen back then, but I've no idea what the exchange rate was then in order to make a comparison.

They are interesting in that they look to be really well clanged together yet they are very light and the holes on the back for hanging them on the wall scream 'low, low budget' at me!!

Yep, that is my conclusion. I'm guessing the wall hanging feature is a legacy of the time they were made. Positioning and cables were both less well appreciated than they are now.
Somebody probably put a great deal,o effort and resource into producing a well crafted speaker and then the marketing dept decided tomrun it all by putting the wall hangers into the rear.
At a different time I'd have bought them just to see if they are forgotten gems. Right now I have too many speakers again.
