I think, Andr'e, it's a setting specific to a machine and is not persistent across other machines. I'm fairly sure I had to connect the two accounts separately on both my home and work machines. Hi Martin No im not, ive not change the machine or any setting this just happened one day. Last week i bought an item on E-Bay, when i came to choosing PP pay i did not need to log in PP it just automatically paid. What if i forgot to sign out of E-Bay one day & kids got on it, what a field day they could have had on there.

Interesting to know which one, what was the colour of the Naim cable you had? I have to find out as I'm likely to be selling it Black. 2 or 3 sets Guessing I have 1 or 2 NACA4 and 1 or 2 NACA5. The stupid cold that left it's muck in my system is stopping joined up thinking - even worse than normal ! One small set not for sale white from Nait 2 to Saras Sounds like it could be A5 cable you have there Mike... The white stuff is more likely the A4. Very interesting that you preferred the Exposure cable, but each system's characteristics are different. Paul.

Something ive noticed that is quite worrying. When you purchase something off E-Bay, it seems all you have to do is click on pay & thats it done no need to sign into paypal. So if someone gets into your E-Bay account there straight into payment. This is infact very alarming imho i want to be able to enter my paypal password details. That only happens with sellers who insist on demanding immediate payment. You have the option to write to them and ask for an invoice.

You mean a 'very rare' item on eBay is actually very rare?!

Really? Interesting to note the carbon composition resistors. The norm back in the '50s and '60s.

What Stephen is saying is that carbon resistors are hardly the last word in audio quality and therefore the Little Bear is built down to a price.

As one would expect from a 47 pound valve preamp!!

No real point. Just an observation.
Could add though that some would say cc resistors should be avoided at all costs for use in audio. And yet some Japanese and American diy-ers prefer to use them rather than a typical modern metal film.

I spent a lot of time & money totally rebuilding two Ferrograph 'F307' Amplifiers. The first i fitted Takman Carbon Films, the other Takman Metal Films..After consideration, i did prefer the Metal Films..

One small set not for sale white from Nait 2 to Saras Nait 2 driving Saras? Are you MAD sir? All you'll hear is the Nait's wheezy clipping most of the time - been there and done that with Nait 1 and 2, hence the comment.
Amazing how much clipping our ears can ignore. The beeb did research on it back in the day and the amount we can tolerate is incredible, hence the compression added to so much music that appears to add 'balls' to the sound more than anything else.. IME, Sara's need more than a NAP250 can give into their 3 ohm load before they begin to sound anything like a 'High Fidelity' product in my experiences with them at the time.
