Keith Emerson did the score for that Dario Argento 'Inferno' movie you see in da link.. The track "Mater Tenebrarum" from the score is cool, a kinda Carl Orff "Carmina Burana" thang.. |

Amazon's Original Album Series have a couple of bargains. 5 Disc Set of Bobby Darin for £4.40. OK, but the interesting one is a 5 Disc Set by Rebecka Törnqvist for £5.40. Never heard of her, but looked on YouTube and found she's not bad. |

Anyone who hasn't downloaded the Amazon App for their Android phone, or their iPhone, now might be a good time to do so. Might be a bargain, might be forty-eight quid (inc. postage) down the toilet, but one has to take a chance every now and then. I've just won (although " won" might not be strictly accurate) something on eBay described thusly: " spares or repairs ex display turns on and says 'majority' but does nothing further avit (sic) techincal for me
may be N easy fix to someone who knows" Now that, to me, says " There's nothing wrong with it, I just don't know what I'm doing". The fact that it's supposedly ex-display makes me even more hopeful that that's the case. Judging by his feedback he seems a pretty genuine seller too. It's one of these, a Majority Fitzwilliam Tuner, with Internet Radio, DAB/DAB+, and even FM. I've been chasing one of these for a couple of weeks, and I wanted this particular model, which is not the latest, but the " new" ones don't have a wired LAN option, only wireless, and I prefer a wired connection.  Oh well, wish me luck.  |

Right, lets have another go. I've ordered another of these and I'm hoping this one actually gets delivered. It was a bit more expensive, but is described as "VGC" but then again, aren't they all? There's no remote, so I've laid out the exorbitant sum of £3.95 for a replacement on Amazon, but it works with the Frontier UNDOK app on either iOS or Android, so I'm not too bothered. Mike will, I'm sure, be pleased to know that this one's black. The only unknown at the moment is whether it's got an RJ45 Ethernet port. The stock photo the seller has used shows it has one, but the description says it's a Mk2, which does not have one. Just to complicate matters, I tihnk the eBay description automatically defaults to a Mk2. We shall see. If it only has wi-fi and it works well enough I'll keep it. |
