I've been meaning to post this one here for years. Unfortunately it stands no chance among 99% of listeners anywhere.
The reason I must post it though is because there are sections of this 39 minute song I've gone deeper into than nearly any other music I've heard in my life. 23:30 is an achievement. I've heard it countless times.
It fascinates me that two sets of human ears can be so different. One set will hear worthless noise and another can hear something very special that warrants more than 100 listens. I think this band knows exactly what it's doing and has some incredible ideas.
One section of this song is annoying to me though. It is 7:20 through 17:00. It drags on way too long.
Also, the opening section eventually begins to incorporate short bursts of unique sounding guitar amp feedback. After many many listens the sequence of these feedbacks begins to sound so right for building into the next section of the song.

3 Body Problem is all that I had hoped it to be as a dramatisation of the best SF novels since Dune. The production is excellent and so is the cast. I like how the sweep of the narrative is maintained while some locations have changed. I won't say anything to spoil the story but rest assured it is built on an epic scale and E1 only gives you a tiny taste of what is to come. Wow this is great news. Martin do you remember Operation Guzheng? I believe it's the last chapter or so of the first book. I have a clip of that scene, it's stunning, from another 3 Body Problem series that was created overseas on a channel called Tencent. Have you seen this? Might be worth seeing before proceeding with the Netflix show.

100% Jules. The conversion rate from USD to British Pound will be a toughy, but hey, it's Fede Alvarez.

Oooh - Robert is going large on Romulus! Are you offering guaranteed refunds for those of us who book a ticket and don't like it?? Yes Jules. Mark my words. Romulus will have us all looking like Leigh Wannell at the end of the first Saw film when the corpse stands up. Just heart pounding eyes dilated terror overload.

Guys, Fede Alvarez is directing it. Something tells me Romulus will be just fine.
The main character could be a can of garbanzo beans and Fede would make it work.

A solid 3/ 5. There's nothing to dislike, but equally, there's not enough to set the old pulse racing either. Track 1 brought to mind "Hot Butter (remember "Popcorn") plays Kraftwerk, but after that, it just dissolved into uptempo Dinner Kazz. OK so there was with vocals, Uptempo Dinner Jazz with a bit of Vangelis on the side, Uptempo Dinner Jazz with Jaco, Uptempo Dinner Jazz with Jow Zawinul, Uptempo Dinner Jazz with Victor Wooten, but yeah, Uptempo Dinner Jazz. It's not something I'd sit down to listen to exclusively, but decent background music all the same. A bit of Trivia for you - Bandleader Xaver Fischer played keyboards for Krautrockers Birth Control, if anyone remembers them, and Hannes Vesper is still playing bass for them after a two-year hiatus from 2000 to 2002. Very cool baby. Wow that is a trip to hear Xaver's sound but with another group. Thanks Paul I'd never heard of them. Speaking of background music let's hear one that is the opposite of background music. You got anything like that Paul?

That's what I was expecting. As much as my friend gushed about them I don't think I could even get past the idea that those little nodules are sticking into your inner ear.
Seems like the opposite of comfort.

Was glad to find a thread for this. Not sure what to make of these.
I had a friend who was always getting some new high to mid-fi headphones and taking artistic fancy pictures of them. Then he got the Nuraphones and said they beat everything else he has even his Audezes.
I trust the guy but am still skeptical because they began retailing at $400 and are found used online these days for as little as $80.
Funny reactions from people to these though.

I got into Oz Noy back in 2016 when I first was discovering audio to test my headphones out with.
I forgot how great this studio clip is.

Not sure if this is on that same level but a friend of mine has these. The Abyss 1266 TC. The cables cost 7 grand. And now hes done. He said the sound of his chain now has ruined him for other headphones. He was a music producer and said even his equipment with speakers in the studio didn't provide this experience. Abyss 1266

Thanks guys. Sadly, the speakers are not stellar, but still better than my last samsung device. Though I'm constantly Bluetooth connected either to car speakers or home soundboard.
Are you guys aware of something called the ROG phone? This thing is actually a beast for gaming so it has just the highest performances specs on earth as well as two accessories that attacch onto each end of the phone turning it into a gaming machine like the Nintendo Switch and apparently the speakers on that thing are outrageous also.
One good thing about this s24 ultra is that it uses sonething called Gorilla armor instead of gorilla glass as it's screen. It truly reduces glare from lights above unlike any phone I've seen and requires no screen protector.
Here's a look at that ROG phone BTW.

Fair enough, Paul. I'll have to just pick one method and stick to it.
Guys I just got a new phone, TAS is the first thing I added to my homescreen. I feel bad for anyone who doesn't have The Audio Standard or least An Audio Standard.
Wrong thread for this but I got arguably the best phone on the market the Samsung Galaxy s24 Ultra (please remember though I don't have TV or Wifi or cable at home or any tablets and only use a laptop occasionally to use MasterCam for work, this phone is it for me and on a mobile data connection).
Some of the AI features on here are absolutely mad. You can text in English and it's writing at the sane time in the other language you've selected and then you can hit send on a full sentence of Spanish text/or any language or have it spoken as audio. Any two people on earth can communicate no matter their language with this device.
Use the S-pen to circle any object, brand or person you see appearing anywhere on your screen and it searches Google or contacts for that product or person.
Taking photos it can erase an object, shadow or person with ease and it fills in the pixels that it thinks would be behind that object.
S-pen can be used to trigger the camera from a distance. It can convert anything you've scribbled as a note into text instantly.

Thank you for taking a listen guys. Wow, Mike this Fragile State is pretty good.I'm listening to 'four-four-four'.
I adore this Xaver Fischer Trio album. It's follow up though not as much and one glaring issue with that one, that I actually didn't notice in the CD version of this one, is as Mike mentioned, a strange tape in and out variation quality to the music that is too distracting to tolerate.
Massive fail on their part if it actually sounds that way on that second CD of theirs.

Cabbage Pizza
My mother made this last week and told me to come pick up some leftovers. Since that day its all I can think about. This is exquisite. And I ate it cold.
Today I just finished making this but forgot the flour so it didn't come out great. And, Like my mother I skipped the sauce and cheese.
If anybody can do this right it's extremely tasty.

Ahhh ok. I'll have to see if I have that option. I'm watching a video reviewer named Flossy Carter that has hundreds of phone reviews and he is saying that his preferred method when getting a new phone is to run it down to 0% a few times throughout the course of his first week with the phone before ever "topping up" the battery.
I'll try that too with new phone.

I've become convinced that over-charging the battery, fast charging, charging overnight could be a detriment.
I've had a Samsung Galaxy s21+ for 3 years. It can barely hold a charge anymore. By 5pm I'm at 15%.
The problem is that the USB charging port died ages ago. I use charging pads exclusively. The one in the car can't connect anymore unless it's after about 15 minutes of trying. And the one at home is slow.
I've recently discovered that in settings there is an option to limit the battery's full charge to 85%. I've long heard that 85% is optimal and that people shouldn't for example top their phone up to 100% if it's it's 80%.
On my next phone I will try the 85% battery limit.
