Some people used to fill the all the spaces in the counterweight shell with Blu-Tac. The idea was to slightly over-fill it and as you cranked up the bolts with your Glasgow torque wrench(!) it would squeeze and compact while filling all the micro-nooks and nano-crannies. There was a downside: If you were unlucky, it became impossible to separate the two halves of the shell without beating the crap out of it.
You should find a set but dont have to be AT.. After several attempts at replacements i got a pair of Beyer Dynamic 'DT-770 Velour earpads to fit my AKG 'K240/2' Headphones. Loads better than the originals imho..
I find this a very odd Topic because one person may have an original pressing of an Album which could sound good but the repress may sound crap. The CD worse. I suppose its a take your word for it topic
Expanded or otherwise ( ) the music and tonalities/textures/light-and-shade created by that instrument set standards and aspirations for a generation of keyboardists across many genres in the years that followed imo and not one small musical pigeon-hole. I can't think of a more genuinely 'progressive' 'EM' album than Zero Time - I cite the tracks Jetsex and Aurora as proof and although 'Riversong' is based in real musical scales and harmonics, which 'Prog' as a genre tried to bend out of listenability quite often in my opinion, the WAY this instrument's voices were enunciated (no bloody vocoder here!) is more progressive than any others really managed (I think Vangelis came close with real playing ability lacking in his much loved German compatriots who majored more on soundscapes at the time) and in fact the chromatic scale used (was it sevenths or seventeenths, I can't remember but it's described in an interview/lecture Malcolm Cecil gave and it's on YouTube). The grand work on 'Switched On Bach' for example were pedestrian and all-one-level in comparison... J M Jarre seemed derivative in his earlier synth work and apparently he couldn't play well and got someone else to realise the trickier keyboard bits I'm informed...
I put what i put because Early prog [1969-1971/2 at a push] is very different in every respect to what came after. Instrument are Tools & i do not care what musicians says, Advancements in instrument influence their music making abilities.
FB doesn't cause family fall-outs. People cause them.
Using it as a Tool. People have got this strange compulsion to post up every bowel movement they make. Nosey, Spying on Others, You name it they use it. I just cannot get my breath why people would want to post there pictures, what they are doing, Going to etc etc openly on as public place..
Last Week i bought a pair of speakers from E-Bay. The seller took it upon himself to post them out in two separate boxes. Ok but bearing in mind the postage was less than a tenner alarm bells started ringing!
Um I only seem to have received one box, asking the seller why only one speaker & to send the tracking numbers ASAP [Nasty mode]. The other box was apparently delivered the day before & left in a porch according to tracking, What Porch! Its like this, i believe there is no second parcel, Its impossible to send two parcels for less than a tenner & it not in the couriers best interest to deliver two parcels picked up at the same time to the same address delivered on two separate days.
