Using the JR149s at the moment. I had the LS50s before I changed to the Ken Kreisel system. Looking to move back to the LS50s for various reasons.

The Sigma SSP is making me want to revisit every single CD in my collection. Every time I pop an album on, it just stuns me as to how good it is. The DAC is awesome, and regardless of the quality of CD I play, it just seems to dissect the track into its component parts and present every little detail completely effortlessly and transparently. I'm getting the same for movies as well, and I'm being majorly impressed on a daily basis (I watch at least one film per day, sometimes two or three).
I'm also stunned at how good the JR149s are sounding in this system, and they're working so well in the room too. They're about 4" from the wall and I'm getting very minimal boom - it's actually making me worried about changing them in case what I get doesn't work so well! Not too many sealed options around though...

I was going to pad out my first post with a little more history, but it seems I can't edit it! If I'd have known, I'd have spent a bit more time on it! Oh well...

Great transition there, David. In view of your liking for KEF, I was about to suggest LS50 all round but you've got there already. A really good sub should integrate things nicely. Look at a REL as an alternative to the B&W. My old Studio II was epic. To be honest, I've not really got on with RELs since the 90s. The last ones we had I just didn't like - and they buzzed.

My system is going through a radical change at the moment. As a bit of background, I don't have space for separate and dedicated AV and hi-fi systems, so my AV system IS my hi-fi. Up until now, sources have been an Oppo BDP103, Sonos ZP90 (for acces to Internet radio, Napster, and before it went pointless, Last.FM), and more recently, an Innuos Zen music server, an Audiolab 8200AP as pre/processor, a Rotel RMB1575 multi-channel power amplifier, and Ken Kreisel Quattro 5.2 speaker package utilising dual DXD12012 subs.
Whilst music has sounded great, I felt it was time for a change, and have had my sights set on a Classe Sigma SSP processor after hearing it with the matching power amp and Blade 2s. Because the SSP was completey transparent and drew no attention to itself with such speakers, I knew it'd be my next processor. Unfortunately to fund this, the 5.2 package had to go, which has freed up some space to accommodate my growing vinyl collection (turntable is a Michell Gyro SEduction, but I have nowhere to put it!). So I now have the Sigma SSP, and whilst I decide which compact speaker route to take, I'm using three Jim Rogers JR149 speakers as LCR - I'm having my old Miller & Kreisel MX70B renovated to use that for the time being.
Still not sure what speakers to get. I was originally looking to have Sonus Faber Toys all round, but then they went and discontinued them - their new Chameleons might be interesting, but might be a tad big. I'd like to go for something from Dali, like the Menuets (even though these don't have the trickle down tech from the Epicons like most of their other speakers. If I can get to try a pair, the Leema Zens might be interesting. I could take a tried and trusted path previously trodden which is the KEF LS50. I'd be looking to use the same speaker for all five channels, as usual. Looking at the B&W DB1 sub longer term, once they update with the new Aerofoil drive units.
The addition of the Zen and the SSP has radically transformed the quality I'm getting for music, as now the server is plugged directly into the SSP via USB cable, I don't really need the Sonos any more, although much of its use was for background music and to find new music.
Also, now that I finally have a headphone socket, I'll be looking to add a pair of headphones, my main option at the moment being the Audioquest Nighthawks. I can't afford the Oppo PM1 which is my favourite headphone at the moment.
I'll pop on some photos when I can.

Oh, hang on, it could be a Pantera? De Tomaso? Nope, but that is another great looking car

I wouldn't care what it drove like - it still looks awesome! Granted, the LP400S may have been 1978, but the original design was 1971 - 44 years ago! If they had released this in 2015, it wouldn't look out of place if it wasn't for the current trend for curves...
Curves date - straight lines don't. The Countach is living proof.

Another 47 year old here...
Interests Music - Many genres, but particularly noisy stuff, chill out, and plenty of electronica. Movies - I'm a big horror fan, but like most genres, particularly thrillers, world cinema, anything though provoking, and the occasional quality comedy. Casual cycling - I don't try and go fast enough to warrant dressing in skin hugging latex and shaving my legs. I just enjoy the open air aspect, and makes me feel free. Maybe it reminds me of my childhood too - did a lot of cycling around in my old Raleigh Chopper and BMX days! Gaming - Since the days of the Atari VCS. Not so much nowadays, and at my age I'm trying to ignore the enticement to get back into it as I know I'll waste half of my reminding life in the process... Motorsports - Mainly Formula 1, British Touring Car, Australian V8 Supercars, and World Touring Car (when I get a chance to catch it).
Work I've been in the hi-fi industry (retail) for 25 years now, as music and movies are a couple of my main interests, and I enjoy helping people who also enjoy the same.
